just a tidbit for anyone coming up on crew: the crew supplement says to pack for a minimum of 3 days but its highly recommended to pack for 7 days if possible. most people have their flight bag as their "personal item" on the airline in addition to a carry-on bag for clothes and toiletries and whatnot. its not recommended to check a bag because... bags get lost. its happened. multiple times. tide pods and a razor can come in handy. be prepared to be out for the entire ~35 hours. the crew supplement states the *minimum* packing amount. some say it should be updated to reflect the common recommendation of packing even more days worth of packing. some say it should be a minumum of 5 days instead of a minumum of 3 days. if anyone has any questions, feel free to drop a reply

Thanks, man, for creating this type of content. I'm currently holding a private pilot license and planning to start ATP training in December. This video is helping me a lot in understanding how it works.

Thanks for the upload. I’m looking up mom and pop part 61 schools as well as having ATP in mind since it’s possible to do in 9mo - 1yr. I’m doing Sportys Ground Training currently as well. I’m really interested in becoming a pilot, but I want to make sure I take the right path.

Just go 61, pay half the price, fly 5 times a week, find a school with connections to DPE and you’ll be fine

its possible to do it in 9 months... i only know 1 person that has done it in less than 12 months.

I was gone during crew stage at most 2 days. ATP would send me somewhere, airline me home, then send me somewhere else, airline me home. It was a great experience.

Wait a minute here let me know if I'm hearing this right. 50 hours in the sim can be counted towards the 250 for commercial? This is the first time im hearing this I have 210 hours and over 40 sim hours with an instructor so I would be able to technically use these towards the 250?
@thatpilotluke4 ай бұрын
@@chriscappy6540 it depends on the simulator you were using and what training was received but yes. 91.129
