This is one of those strategies that I tend to forget about until the last leg(or street, whatever you want to call it). Comes in handy when I do think to use it though!

It does indeed. I get what you mean about 4th street. It becomes a conscious choice on 4th street, AND if my hand is garbage, I'll think about it. Otherwise, I'll use it whenever the hand naturally allows, like a 3-3-4-8 hand or something.

To pair or not to pair? That is the question. You should do a video on when is it good to pair your opponent's card and when it's not so good to pair it. Another good video by the way. Glad to see that you are giving Cribbage some lovin.

So what are you describing at 5:06 onward about wide cards? Are these to keep for pegging? The first one is a magic 11 but the other sums to 20... Or are these all 4 to be kept to have several 11s, but not runs? Confused.

Wide cards refer to cards that are not next to each other and better yet have at least two cards in between them. They are great for SUPER defensive pegging when you don’t want to get trapped in a run. They are also good to toss to the opponent’s crib.

Please do a video on the rules for the go in 3 and 4 handed cribbage. So many people change the rules for 3 and 4 handed cribbage by not allowing a player to play all their cards under 31.

Can you help me understand why with A-2-3-8-9-9 you did not discard the 3-8 because you can make 11 if you held the 2-9? Or why not discard the A-9 so you have two 11s?

A-9 would be just fine too. It’s really just for example purposes too that I chose to get rid of the 9-9. (Don’t forget that flush!) In general though, keeping a wide variety of cards is better for defensive pegging.
