At this point in Canada, it should be civilian punishment, since our justice system is a complete joke. What will the civilians get for taking justice into their own hands? Probably a worse sentence than the original offenders. The Canadian justice system needs to do better! 😤

SHAME ON THE COURTS WHO HAND DOWN SUCH DISPROPORTIONATE SENTENCES FOR THE MOST VILE OFFENDERS WITHIN OUR BOADERS!! They CAN change laws when it serves them, but changing these sided sentencing for violent offenders and murderers, never happens. Like Nobody thought to protest for better laws and stiff sentencing to send a message to this s c u m that they won't get away with it! But time and time again the justice system spits on survivors and their loved ones, while protecting the rights of unmerciful thugs. Sending the message to these violent offenders that it's Ok, because the courts have your back! Why do we continually show mercy to the unmerciful? Their deep remorse is between them and God. It should have NO BEARING on the sentence they receive in our courts!

This the difference between the Canadian and US justice system. Slap on the wrist here , in states they'd be doing life . We as a country need to do better and push for tougher laws for criminals . Especially repeat offenders...
@leaharchambault5796
@leaharchambault5796 Жыл бұрын
you're joking right? The US has mass shootings on an almost daily basis because it's so easy to get a gun there. Longer sentences have been shown to have ZERO effect as a deterant. It may make you feel good to lock them up and throw away the key, but it does not deter others from shooting each other up. Longer sentences do not deter others. FACT. You're about a zillion times safer here in Canada, if just because we have better gun laws and fewer guns. Read some research, it's not about punishing criminals HARDER, that makes ZERO difference- it's about preventing people from having guns in the first place and community support and investment to prevent the social circumstances that allow crime to fester.
@davidc3839
@davidc3839 6 ай бұрын
America has more wrongful convictions because they rely on the Red technique. Plus, they have ridiculously long sentences for nonviolent offenses. Many people are doing life without parole for having the audacity to go to trial and not take a plea deal. The US has 20% of the world's prison population. yet only 2.5% of the world's population. Despite this, they still have a murder and crime rate far exceeding Canada's or any of its 22 peer countries.

Total bs. I watched this case unfold when it happened. I was raised in Scarborough, so was my daughter for her early years. I never knew POS like this. The terror of that day left a small community with PTSD. These guys at least should have been charged with attempted murder. These guys didn't care that kids could die. What a waste of oxygen. Stop making plea deals with scum that try to kill kids. How can they ever feel safe when they will be released very soon. All the cops who worked this case also deserve more.

Put steel fences around playgrounds. We don't have gun violence here in Australia but most playgrounds have fences around them. It would help keep unnecessary ppl out of that area and maybe kids may feel safer. And any suspicious looking ppl in that vicinity would stand out.

Well looking at the terror at the Duke story that guy had just been out of prison a few months before he opened fire at the bar too after shooting at a public park so people can assume they get out and may reoffend. She not bright at all. What crime beat didn't report in the story is that one of her man was the target and that is why she knew the person involved. She also didn't "work" from home, she didn't work at all. Unfortunately women like this insist on procreating with pookies and Ray Ray's who are involved in gun and drug activiites and endanger their offsprings. The convicted ones likely grew up with Mother's like her.
