And consider that he was determined by our Canadian courts to be the primary parent and was awarded full custody prior to this. Very sad and shows again how mistakes are made by authorities every day.

2nd degree murder for stabbing her 75 times? How is he eligible for parole? Did I miss something. Wrong
@Dexter037S4
@Dexter037S4 Жыл бұрын
Canadian Law limits terms to 25 for parole, he won't get it, and the degrees are based on if there was premeditation or not, this wasn't planned in advance, thus 2nd degree.

This monster stabs the mother of their child 75 times and will get parole by the time he is fifty? I would have suggested a year of prison for stab. It is worrisome to know that this man, will be walking around and maybe get a decent job thanks to an education paid by our taxes. From Toronto my condolences to Jessica's family.

The real author of those letters is the ex clearly, c’mon. He already said she was an alcoholic and got the kid taken away so why wouldn’t he accuse someone else of her murder to clear his name? Plus the 75 stab wounds indicates this person had something personal/hatered.

Hmm...woman disappears the day before an important court date to get shared custody of her son...I wonder who could have done it...🤔 And I’m no lawyer, but how does “intended to kill” NOT mean the same as “planned/premeditated” 🤔🤔🤔 FFS!

I think it’s a crap job to call the family and say “there’s another body I’ll call back later if it’s her”. Why do that? Contact family after you find her and identify. But calling the mom “we found another body”, is cruel each and every time.

@halloweenjujube
@halloweenjujube 3 жыл бұрын
I agree it’s awful to have to do this to the family, but I think it’s an attempt to keep them in the loop, and be sure that they’re finding out first, in case it does turn out to be her, before it’s being reported on the news, etc. Identification can take a little while, and the news will often report on stories like this before the body has been ID’d. I can’t imagine the agony of waiting to hear if it’s your loved one, but at least you know before the public does that it could be a possibility.

I believe they do that in case the mother was to see it on the news..
@BS-dq1kz
@BS-dq1kz 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve watched way too many murder mystery shows and I think the reason they do this is because when a body is found and it’s in a public place(like off a road in a ditch as in this case), the news often hears of it and begins reporting on it. Then, you have friends, family or just acquaintances rushing to tell the victims parents and it’s shocking to them. I’ve seen quite a few instances where this is what happens. So, I feel like the detectives simply believe they should be the ones to notify and let the close relatives know firsthand before they find out online or by a neighbor, etc...

✨ Why didn't Jessica's Lawyer, or family, warn her to stay away from the father of her baby, before the Custody Court Case.? Clearly the ex's relationship was problematic (with him legally accusing her of being a drunk, so an unfit parent), so therefore risky to see him alone the night before court. ✨

Father's deal with this daily in NC. Courts automatic take mother's side n get full custody while father's lose rights. And have to pay child support without any custody rights/visits. In NC you don't get visits with your kids jus because U pay child support. U have to also file custody to see them. And pray a judge will give u visits. Courts really mess up a lot of families. It's sad.
