They were probably seen as "disposable" =/ to most producers, $ = king. Maybe they started out with passion, but $ is usually needed to sustain what you're passionate about, and then, it becomes priority, so quality (of storytelling, or whatever they deem "disposable") suffers.

Sorry 14:00 minutes that would have given this chopped up movie more substance. As it is the scenes that were removed took less than a quarter of a hour to explain all of the missing pieces of the story. Which could have made sense to remove if you have a book to fill in the blanks in the relationships between the characters.

I absolutely agree with the Nagini/Credence scene! I felt the same. I also thought it would have added so much depth to their relationship and would have made the parting scene at the end a lot more dramatic and powerful. Such a shame they deleted it :(

The deleted scene with Leta and Theseus also reveals that the wizarding world believes that the prophecy is about leading their people from hiding from muggles. It puts the avenger part into a new perspective. Maybe it's not about revenge against a family, but revenge against the law that forced the Wizarding World into hiding.

The deepest desire of Dumbledore's heart was to go back to that time when they loved each other enough to make the blood pact, or to have never made the blood pact at all. Given Dumbledore's personality I could see him wanting both things just as deeply and desperately.

YES! this is the only thing i am honestly expecting from the future movie, i REALLY want to see more of Dumbledore's backstory. Any time somebody mentions the future movies, the only spark that flashes in my mind is the hope to see more of Dumbledore. He has so much interesting backstory and if the future movies won't include it, i am officially giving up.

Dumbledore is not using Newt to kill Grindelwald The whole wizarding world knew that Grindelwald can never be defeated by anyone other than Albus Dumbledore Newt was sent there to deprive Grindelwald of his weapon, Credence and that's as far as Newt's role goes

In the second Credence/Nagini Scene, Credence sees that the skin on naginis hand startet to change into snake-skin, then he kisses it. See? pay attention to what they look at and how. I think it adds some more depth to the scene, the aspect of nagini turning more and more into a snake.

I do too. I think Leta loved them both because they brought happiness in to her life but just in different ways. (I think for Newt she meant it more in the way of your presence saved me once and it coukd have been lovr but at the same time maybe something deeper and for her fiance it was the romantic love sort of way.) I don't feel like she loved Newt romantically. It feels more deep than that.

I think the second film tries to ret-con the entire wizarding saga and just comes across as more confusing to me. Newt said the real reason he came to America was to set a Thunderbird free. He was astonished to discover that Credence was an Obscurus and never mentioned seeking one. But in the deleted scenes, Dumbledore reveals that is exactly why he sent Newt to America. So did he go with this mission in mind or not? I find it significant in any story to give the protagonist a specific mission. It still would be helpful to confirm, as you said, why Grindelwald was seeking this specific Obscurus (since he misjudged the wrong kid in "Fantastic Beasts"). Credence vs. Newt would be interesting, though I wish they had interacted more in the second film instead of stumbling into each other in the final part. It would lend more weight to Credence's conflict if he was torn between Grindelwald's offer and Newt's compassion.

Best movie in the Wizarding World to me. So much emotions, darkness yet joyfull moments and just epic shots and the best soundtrack I have heard in years. The deleted scenes show their devotion to "kill their darlings" or they had already an awesome movie. I would have loved to see these scenes too in the actual movie but hey, that what deleted scenes and bonus clips are for, for us the big fans :D

Something I stumbled upon while searching more clues for some of these characters while watching the film, Bathilda Bagshot, the author of Hogwarts: A History, book which Hermione mentions countless times and the woman the og trio thinks to have met in Godric's Hollow, at the Deathly Hallows Part 1, is Grindelwald's great aunt. Look it up..

A lot of time passed since Morgan uploaded the video but can someone tell me if I remember this correctly: The Ministry of Magic doesn't allow using a time turner to go so far back in time? On Pottermore it says "In spite of the many Muggle fantasies around the subject, time travel is possible in only a limited sense even in the magical world." If someone can clear this up it would be great!

WELL DONE . This movie is so imaginative, beyond gorgeous etc. Paris as the main setting was genius. And the addition of Lita and Nagini ? Well, geez how geek exotically magical female beauty can one take? (Lita is gone WAY TOO SOON). & I adore Depp in his role. Perfection. Ok that being said..The movie was really tough to follow and your video helps. I've watched it many times for effects and Newt's world and yep, trying to get more plot connection-- making timelines fit. Then I ponder.. hmmm.. if thats Dumbledore and McGonigal? Their ages are? It's way before Tom Riddle, then Lily and James... and if Harry's story begins in the 90s... too much time ends up being spent on timeline sense if you are a real fan of the series. I hope the 3rd movie succeeds where this one confuses, albeit beautifully. Also.. To JK... coming right out with relationships rather than dancing around them is worth much more than worrying about what the audience thinks. We arent thinking it, we know it. You told us. Grindenwald and Dumbledore as young lovers explains so much on Dumbledore's part. Hinting upon relationships confuses in a movie where 'so much happens' story wise and very visually . (BTW, did Ms. Rowling contact you about snake's eyes? ) OOOOPS🙃 Thanks for your video.
