Criminal Law - Part Three: Crimes Against the Person

Lecture Three in a series of eight lectures on Criminal Law. This lecture is a basic discussion of crimes against the person. The topic is broadly discussed touching on historical perspectives; common law, modern statutory, and Model Penal Code approaches. Crimes discussed include: Homicide (Murder, Manslaughter, etc.), Assault, Battery, Mayhem, Sex Crimes (Rape, Sodomy, Rape Shield Laws, etc), Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, Stalking, Civil Rights, and Hate Crimes.

You actually can use a gun for self-defense against a person coming at you with their hands, the only catch is that you must be able to articulate that you feared for your life or the life of another

It is a good lecture but for heaven's sake uses better examples instead of killing a goat or grandma. I find it distracting!

I agree. the killing and punching her grandma in the face with her funny side comments. along with trying to dumb down her listeners and talk to us like we are baby's.
