Hearing Derek "Tough Guy" Morgan saying "I was so afraid of you" is the most heartbreaking thing

And hurt them. Like, he did help many kids without hurting them, but the ones who became the most successful were the ones who also went through the horrible things Carl did, sadly.

He did help a lot of kids, that's the worst part. He's the big hero of the town, course he can never do anything wrong. He made himself untouchable. Double worse when he decided it meant his favorites owed him. Derek said it best "It wasnt for free"

so true...That should have never happened. But in the end he became more stronger..And even if it's hard for him to trust others he still know that they will always be there for him..It's a strong and close team. But guys like Bueford should stay in jail for ever.

But I do like how Morgan turned it around and he's not just the black FBI agent that got raped he is the FBI agent that will destroy and hurt bad people but yet also comfort people that are there under circumstances that they cannot control I like how Morgan can punch the s*** out of someone and then turn around and actually sit and talk to an inmate like he's an actual person and not just I'm the big bad black hulk it really does make him more human

my heart broke reading all of your comments nothing like this should happen to anyone let alone a child and what makes your stories worse is that your mothers didn't believe you

Mine thankfully did when I told her I was getting molested. I was 11 years old at the time, but she still listened and believed me, and she helped me make ir stop. I'm thankful for this and lucky to have her.

Wow! My response would have been - "No! It was on you, Carl, to know that I was too young to understand "consent" or to really comprehend what was going on. I was young, weak, and scared, and you took advantage!" IF, and that's a big "if", he really believes in that nonsense about Derek's capacity to say "No!", then he's a dumb idiot who, in a sense ironically, doesn't understand kids. Which kind of is a reason for people to continue to learn. Because horrible things do also result from people just being dumb.

I really don't like that phrase. "You just gotta believe...." It's like, what does that mean? If it doesn't mean to think and reflect on the choices you've made that ARE good, given you good results, and have guided you properly; then no. I would definitely not say, "Just believe in yourself." What needs to happen is that you find something to hold onto, that you can hold onto, that's sustainable, and that you can build on. Without action, those words mean nothing. Also, without adding to yourself - acquiring tools, knowledge, and practice - that's how one loses faith in themself.
