Hey, I don't know if you guys really read your comments but it'd be really cool if you guys started uploading these videos onto spotify as podcasts, considering that for the most part they're audio stuff (I don't think many people are here for the gameplay) I think they would be really good! Sadly, they don't like people playing at night. It was the best and safest time though in my eyes. Cops were out MORE, much much less traffic, and depending on your area a much lower risk for overheating as nights are usually cooler than the days, even if just by a little bit

Sounds exactly like what my neighborhood turned into (except I was in a little side street of a city with rowhomes for a mile in 2 directions, a few businesses a couple blocks in another direction and a few historic mansions plus apartment buildings for half a mile in the other direction. Nobody had a really big yard and hide and seek regularly took us on people’s porches, up their roofs, and under parked cars). Once more than half the houses belonged to people who weren’t parents it all ended because they’d call the cops immediately when any kid came on their property and being the “bad inner city neighborhood” the cops would overreact, just, not as extremely as in the story.

Party got busted, everyone scrambles. I grab a dog leash and book it into the trails. Made it a block or so, stumble, almost get trampled, broke a finger. Got caught, but pretended I was walking my dog and got thrown on the ground by the other kids. He didn't even take my info, just asked if I needed a medic & let me walk away.

Choppers are actually really common to use with break ins especially if the suspects are on foot and hiding in bushes etc. They got thermal cameras :)

I accidentally ran from the cops once. Was driving back to work after running to the bank and realized I’d left the garage door open at the house I was staying at, so decided to drive by and close it. Speed limit was 45, I was probably going 60. After I passed the house there was a very curvy and hilly section of the road coming up. A cop came around the corner right before the curve and I saw his lights flip on immediately. I figured I could pretend I hadn’t seen as I went around the curve and immediately turned onto another road that took me over a hill. Didn’t see the cop again but my heart was beating so hard when I got to work.

Almost got away. Driving to work doing 50 in a 35 and there's a cop there. Saw him pull out to come after me. I turn on a side street and try to make it to a very busy road where he would lose me in the crowd. Got to the intersection at the busy road but couldn't turn without getting into a crash. He pulled up behind me and flashed his lights. Luckily he didn't think I was trying to run.

Me and a group of 4 friends (average age was 17) got detained by a cop for hanging out on railroad tracks. We had to go to his police car for background checks. One of the guys had about 2 ounces of weed in his backpack, and he says to the cop "oh I just remembered I have to go because im late for something" and tries to speed walk off lol he had a funny accent too. The cop says something like "you arent leaving till I say so" Luckily the cop didnt search his bag and we didnt get in any trouble

when i was 10 or so me and my friend went exploring an abandoned house, we'd been there 2 times before nothing out of the ordinary, the third time though there were a few teenagers not too far away from us and it was an active street, they called out on us and only about 30 seconds later police came speeding and stopped really close to use, luckily the abandoned building had an exit to an apartment driveway and when the cops came we acted like random kids leaving our house and when we were out of sight we ran for our lives and hid near a train station before we went home

Personal story: I used to hang out with some questionable kids. I was pretty tame and just drank a little on occasion, but a lot of the guys were minor dealers, sometimes thieves, and VICIOUSLY protective of our little group- especially of myself and a handful of other girls. I had a really bad feeling one weekend that I shouldn’t hang out with them; can’t explain it, but it was a hella strong gut feeling that bad stuff was going down. I was probably 15ish at the time. Sure enough, I got a call Sunday morning from my then-bf that the cops had raided the little party we had every weekend in one of the guy’s barns. Like 15 cop cars all drove in, lights off, at the same time, then all the lights came on, cops coming from every which way, all at the same time. Total ambush style. My bf was like a ripped little spider monkey from all of his BMX riding and skating, so he bolted into the woods and shimmied as far up a tree as he could get. Cops went through the woods with dogs for around an hour, collecting and arresting my friends (mostly just underage drinking, but a few had weed and other minor drugs), but couldn’t see my bf so he avoided being arrested. He said he was so terrified, he stayed up in that tree for another couple of hours, afraid there was a lingering cop waiting on him. That bf just called me the other day after not speaking for twenty+ years, just to catch up. I found out a lot of our old friends did serious jail time for wild shit and three of them (one of which owned the party-house) are in jail for murder. These were close friends. They killed a man about 20 years ago over a bad drug deal… only they killed the wrong man. I was horrified to read about that. I could’ve definitely ended up taking a very different path in life had I stayed friends with all of them, but fortunately after that night, I just distanced myself. I mostly just played guitar and focused on music until having my first kiddo at 17; she was the best thing that ever happened. Old bf had some rough years, but is now very successful and doing well, as am I. It served my kids well, having those stories, too, as they took all of my mistakes (and triumphs) into account and are much better at life than I was at their ages. I’m so grateful I had that gut feeling.

Here's my story: When I was 14-15ish I was a real problem child / Straight up criminal. One night me and a friend were going around the neighborhood on bike just stealing whatever we could get our hands on. Well we saw some cops and just started booking it immediately, honestly the cop probably wasn't even looking for us until we started running, but whatever, now we are running from cops. We are only a few blocks away from my friends house at this point and we start cutting through people's yards to go where the cop cars can't go when suddenly both of us hit a clothes line at the same time and fell on our backs. We were both too hurt to move laying in someone's back yard and a cop drove though the alley real slowly as we were laying there but somehow didn't see us. I really don't understand how he didn't see us, then we made it to my friend's house and all was well after.

Very recently driving under the influence became a big story again. Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau were on a bike ride while in town for their sister's wedding and they were both hit by a drunk driver. That sort of thing happens all the time, but it's being talked about much more because Johnny was a star athlete.

Back when I was a teen/ early 20s, I lived in one of the small towns outside of my state's capital. Stories 8 and 10 reminded me of the time I borrowed my friends' 93 or 94 Team Green ZX7R Ninja to go to work and left my Jeep at his house so we could put a drive shaft in it that night for a ski trip the next day. Bike had a Yoshi 4-2-1 pipe, jet kit, and had been sproketed. I didn't have a motorcycle endorsement. I pop up over the hill to head down the hill to his turn in that night, and in between the 2, the local police is setting up a DUI checkpoint. It wasn't quite set up yet. I wasn't stopping, either😂 Went back and forth through that roadblock like 4 times, before I got far enoigh out ahead of them to swing into the neighborhood my buddy lived in. He had the garage door up, i drove right in, parked it up in front of my CJ, as he was closing the door. He said he and his dad heard me from the time I first jumped on the throttle, all the way up to the next intersection where I kept turning around. He just stood out in the driveway with his dad, having a beer😂😂😂

I ran from the cops. My girlfriend called the cops on me and they arrived ten minutes before my curfew and they told me I had to leave due to domestic. They informed me I had ten minutes to report my new address.So once I got my rent from her I was on my way. I spent all night barhopping. Anyways I walk out of a bar and a cruiser is coming down the street so I bolt it and it chased me but I got away. I hid in the nearby carlot and had to wait for the cop to search the lot with its floodlight. Lucky for me I didn't get caught. I was back at my girlfriend's the next day. I bumped into her downtown near where I had bolted it. She was on her way to buy a new bed,an air mattress at Canadian Tire. So we take the bus and get the new bed. I was so wiped from last night that I fell asleep on her shoulder at the bus terminal right by where I ran from the cops.

Last one I can remember off the top of my head. We were parked across the street from a pizza place. Just sitting there, waiting for one of our boys gf to show up. But apparently we made the ppl at the pizza place freak out, and call the cops on us. I don't remember if we had smoked a blumt while we were waiting or not. But regardless, our one buddy in the back had an entire ounce of weed and a scale on him. So the car wreaked of weed, and he was holding a felony. Don't remember exactly how it went, but somehow we got away. The cop saod something along the lines of, "we've got bigger fish to fry" meanwhile he doesn't realize we're sitting on a felony at the time. This was back before it was legal ANYWHERE in the US

I step on the brakes and look in my rearview mirror and there's nothing there....turns out the song on the radio started with police sirens and it came on at the worst time for me.

My now wife, girlfriend at the time, her parents were telling us a story about being on a road trip. They were crossing a railroad track. Now my wife's maternal grandpa was a railroad engineer, and he had always told Al to slow down/ stop at railroad crossings, be ause trains don't always trip the cross arms, and trains stop at quarter of a mile at the earliest once they apply even the emergency brakes. Well, about the time they were at the crossing, a song came on the radio, and it had a train whistle in it. Scared my father in law half to death he said😂. He also said all he could think was once he got to heaven, Dan was going to give him a whipping for getting him and his daughter killed😂

I have 3 stories of escaping by car, 2 on foot, and one where we gave them a run for their money, really made them work that night. It's a lot to type so I don't want to do it right this second but if anyone shows interest in any or all of them, I'll gladly share later... One of the foot chases we got away with started because of an alarm and the other was several of us lighting lots of fireworks in multiple places.... The one where we gave them a run for their money is the night I went to Juvenile detention center, or kid jail, then foster care 4 days later.

Which time? Lol. The one that comes to mind, i had JUST got out of jail that morning for a dui. Went to a house party with my boys. Party got a little out of control. Guy who owned the house decided it was over. But one loud mouth who had been there since before the party even started, and was just drinking straight from the bottle of smirnoff vodka he brought, started arguing with him. One thing led to another, the homeowner goes upstairs and grabs his pistol. Starts yelling "PARTIES OVER, EVERYONE OUT NOW!!!" This guy is still trying to argue with him, telling him to "pull the trigger" guy is so drunk he can't stand up but is still trying to fight the guy with a gun. We'll he pistol whips the dude one time, and he hits the ground like a sack of 🥔's. At this point ppl actually start leaving in a semi orderly fashion. But bc were friends with the homeowner we were trying to hangout and help him finish getting everyone out amd clean up. All the sudden it SOUNDS LIKE someone actually FIRED a gun. We're all wasted so we don't realize it was actually just some ass holes mad the party got crashed and threw some cinder blocks through the windows. At this point we say sorry bro but we're out too. We got everyone we came with together and hopped in our boys truck. Luckily it's an avalanche so it's semi roomy. Even more lucky, our boys sister happen to be at the party, and wasn't drinking. So we actually had a sober driver lol. We got about 2 blocks down the road, saw 2 more ppl we had come with or knew, and had them jump in. At this point everyone decides we have to go back to get one last guy we came with. He refused to leave bc he was trying to help our dude get everyone out. (Really just wanted to fight someone) We fly back in the driveway, somehow the police haven't showed up yet. Everyone but me jumps out of the car to go get him. Just as they get inside gues who shows up? The police 🤦 my ass is in the floorboard hiding bc like I said, just got out of jail that morning. Somehow everyone who went in managed to come back out except for the guy who owned the truck and the guy we came back for. But we take off and get those same 2 blocks down the road, all the sudden we see them hopping though back yards. They see the truck, run over and hop in the bed and we just took off.

We grew up rural. Meaning roads were all a mile apart. But farmers would cut access points that sometimes ran across the entire mile. If you know about them, you can disappear and pop up a mile away. Or you could hide within that square mile. Sometimes in a field, other times in a woods. My brother got away a lot of times. Until he didn't. It was mostly 4 or 5 teens in a car with a bunch of booze. The cops didn't always have better things to do.

As someone else who is small enough to hide in washing machines/dryers. Yes, hiding in those is stupidly dangerous. The washing machine door locks when it is running (it kind of has to since it fills with water), some can be popped open (at least at certain times in the cycle) but some can't once they start up. Spending an hour folded up in a metal drum while spinning and be essentially waterboarded is never going to end well. But then you find out the some washing machines can pull 70 times earth's gravity during their spin cycle that is a whole new level of horrible. This is similar to what many people experience in a high speed collision except that unlike a high speed collision where it only last milliseconds (and yet can still be fatal), it's sustained for several seconds and isn't even even so different parts of you would experience that force in different directions all at the same time, simultaneously pulling and crushing you apart from the inside out (needless to say this would be wildly lethal for a human). The dryer is a little better but not much, it has no need for such a powerful spincycle but it would still tumbel you end over end and would essentially cook and dehydrate you while it's doing it.

Decades ago, I blew by a stopped cop on an empty highway at nearly 230 mph. He started coming after me but didn't have a chance to get close anytime soon. I got off the highway a couple miles ahead onto some levy roads in a farming area, ultimately spun out at a turn and fell off the levy, got stuck despite my AWD and "masterful" teenage driving skills. The cop eventually came by but did not see me ~30 feet below the road level, kept going. I got a farmer to drag me back onto the road with his Chevy (surely he had wonderful things to say about me afterward), and got to my destination without further incident.

I'm calling BS on this one, unless you had a typo. There are only about 30 models of cars that can go 230 mph and that's today with cars that weren't around decades ago. Those are also the measured fastest speed in perfect conditions, not just casual driver out on a random empty road.

@@jonmendelson1104 "Lingenfelter" 3000GT VR-4. 'Lingenfelter' is doing heavy lifting, it wasn't a production model, I spent a lot on that car. It ended up getting repo'd, for a ridiculously small amount of money, that's another story. Theoretical top speed was 239, but the speedometer pegged at 180, I was way over 180. Note for any others who might try driving that fast, I don't recommend it. Even my AMAZING brakes didn't feel like they worked at all over about 165, it took well over a mile to slow down enough to be able to exit the highway. When I passed the cop it was ~7000 RPM in 6th gear, I calculated that to be around 223 mph but it's an estimate.

I had plenty of run in's with the law, they've all ended well because of my honesty. STORY is of a time I didn't run. (Me, my cousin and a old friend were kicking it in my neighborhood. And my old friend dumbahh hit a random house's front door with something for no reason. Not wanting to get in trouble, we ran. Opposite directions cause I wasn't for that nonsense. Couple minutes later, while I'm the next neighborhood over, I seen a cop car driving down the street slowly. And Idk what the description was the cop had but he came straight to me, a 13/14 year old black kid. Asked me if I knew anything about the incident that I had just ran away from. I said no, and he asked if i was willing to ride back to the house with him to prove he got the wrong guy. So, with no handcuffs, he let's me ride in the back seat of the squad car. It was a 60 second drive back to the house. We hopped out, he took me to the door, ask the homeowner, "Is this him?" They looked at me and said, "No officer!" And he let me go. Felt good!

I’m not a lawyer but my dad is and so are almost all of his friends, this isn’t legal advice technically (but it is implied), but A. don’t ever post about crimes you’ve committed and successfully gotten away with especially when you include identifying details in the story. If it blows up, especially if it’s a recent story, and within the statute of limitations, they can absolutely still arrest you. Cops don’t like being embarrassed and they are often petty and vindictive. B. For everyone who thinks they “got away” there’s a pretty good chance the cops nabbed your plate number or a partial and didn’t initiate a full blown car chase (likely due to safety issues) so the next time you get pulled over even for something simple, like window tint, you might get slapped with extra charges like fleeing and alluding, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, etc. All this to say essentially don’t post your crimes online bragging about getting away with it. Keep that information close to your chest because, nothing is ever truly deleted or hidden so unless you’re an incredible hacker, again I’d keep that secret close to my chest too.

The paintball story reminds me of when I was younger playing. We found an abandoned factory in our town next to a running factory. We took the long way through the woods the first time because we didn't know the truck entrance was still able to be driven on. This place was sick. The middle of the building had fallen in on itself so there was tons of barriers and paths for cover and running to get to the other side and a room on the 2nd lvl that was completely open to the view of the middle. Outside was even cooler. The 2nd time we go we pull up to the truck entrance with water jugs and our paintball guns in bags. RIGHT PAST A SECUIRTY GUARD in a booth in the other lot a ways back we didn't see. He calls the cops on us and they come in tazers drawn on us and almost shoots my friend because he has a tipman modified to look like an m4a1. Thankfully he had the orange paintball barrel thing in.

I got one. We saw the cop pull in about a 1000 yards away (large public park) he got out, my friend and I ran about 100 yards to a hill with a fence behind it that had a hole. At the top of the hill I turned back and saw him open a back door. Down the hill and through the fence we made an immediate left and sat down next to the apartment building and were just laughing about that... and then the dog ran by us with the cop close behind. I guess they both completely ignored us because... we were in the usual apartment outside smoking area so we looked like a couple of tenants for a late night smoke I guess Apparently they patrolled that park a lot due to people dealing and they expected someone running from the police to keep running Story 8 reminds me though, this night must have been close to shift change. 2am, I am flying because I'm tired, had been woken up on a school night to collect people from a bonfire party, I just want to go home and go back to bed. Triple digits past a little barrista stand, I jump a little inside when I see the cop car with no lights on by the barrista. I look in the rearview, see his lights go on, he pulls forward to the shoulder line, then turns his lights back off. I definitely went the normal 60 the rest of the way home though

My story is slightly different. I think the cop was going somewhere else and didn't care that I was doing 70 in a 45. He gave me a dirty look as he went by but that's it. It happened to be my 45th birthday so I was so happy about that. Another instance about 20 years ago I was doing 65 in a 35 (I think) when I seen lights coming up in the distance I floored it before I knew it I was doing 110 till I got on the highway then I went to a normal speed. To be honest I don't even know if those lights were even for me but I didn't want to chance it.

When I was 18, my friends and I were in her car and going a bit fast down a main street in town. My friend makes an illegal turn just as a police car passes us going the other way. They pull a U and start after us. We were paranoid and terrified. They were about a street length behind, so my friend that was driving tries the old dodge of turning down a residential side street and pulling over, stopping the car. We were toast and we knew it. Just then, a miracle occurred: through the rear window, we see a car the same color, make, and model as my friend's speed past the opening of the street. The cop car goes straight for them. Saved! Whoever was driving the other car was going to be very confused for being pulled over for a turn they never made.

Ran from the cops twice. Once it was in some residential street, the other tine it was a tollway. Both were at about 11pm. How i got away is by driving faster than then and knwoing when to ditch the main road.

We got chased through the city by some guys who.....managed ladies of the evening let's call them. I had a mini van with sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle. We'd go drive through the areas where we knew these ladies would be walking around looking for work, I'd have my buddy hiding behind the sliding door with a fire extinguisher, and I'd roll up next to a small group of them and strike up a conversation. Then, my buddy would slide the door open and hose them down with the fire extinguisher, then we'd run. We did this a few times, but the last time things almost got a little dangerous. We didn't know that the guys who managed the ladies we just got with the extinguisher weren't very far from where we were at, and they saw everything. They chased us all through the city until I finally went down an alley and cut back the other way. I hauled it all the way back to the suburbs, and even though it's one of the very best times I've ever had as a punk teenager, we never did it again. My buddy's brother had mentioned that these guys who are managing the ladies often have a certain something on them that could have ended things a lot quicker if they wanted to.

Don't really count this as a "crime". However, a buddy and I used to go down to Downtown Glendale ever night and skate all the sicks spots you're not supposed to. We were decent friends with the security at city hall, so they were never an issue. However, we were kicking it by the fire station there one night and had a cop roll up on us, he didn't stop us or anything right away. What he did was turn intoa neighbor, flick o his lights and from that point I don't know if he was coming back for us or what. But we booked shit, we dipped across the street, through an alleyway *I ate shit on a power box, and we ended splitting up. He hid behind this giant hedge between the hedge and a fence. I however, took the route less hidden. Nearby was an elementary school/middle school. In AZ, they don't have middle schools, at least not in Phoenix. So it's a k-8 school. They have a wall there about a foot and a half high. I saw that, threw my board over onto the ground, dolphin dived over it straight to the concrete, and just laid there. Flat behind this tiny little wall, and they drove by and spotlights that exact spot, and then they drove away.

One time i was speeding in a bmw and the cop was on the side of the road turned his lights on me but there was traffic didn't let him get in the road so I got off first exit and pretended to be putting gas when I got the chance Another time I was at a HS party and cops raided it I was missing on some fence and the cops came speedi g the corner towards me so I zipped up my hands and jumped some random person's house and hid with line 20 other people in this random house I've gotten away with a lot but I've also been caught alot 😅

There was about 20 of us drinking and smoking in the vale i was 14/15 so 03/04, just kicking back and goofing off. When out of nowhere we 1st see/hear a police helicopter, im thinking probably chasing some lil sh**s on a dirt bike around (happens often) Next thing barking in multiple directions, no one needs to shout police are hear "We Know" Just one word was shouted Scatter, everone runs. So by now ive ran about 2 miles im not gassed yet but getting tired so i just think fuck it im hungry ive only got my phone and a pepperami. Just think hotdog sized pepperoni i eat a bite and just hear "SLOAP!@#" Im thinkin F*** my fat ass had to eat something a dog would love when hes just sat there next to me waiting for his share. I realise 1 hes alone an 2 hes not barking or chewing my ass so i began sharing with him. Maybe 10 secs later i heard a whistle most likely his owner so i give him the rest to see him quickly run off. So i was caught and saved by food.
