@@stuco81 There were too many things about this movie that the Navy didn't like. 1) an arrogant loose cannon captain with trigger happy fingers. 2) the excessive use of foul language. 3) the idea of a mutiny. 4) unnecessary racism. 5) excessive inaccuracies. 6) over dramatization, like this NFL locker room prep speech. and the biggest offender of all. 7) a little dog pissing on a multi billion dollars worth of United States property. Other than that, it was a hell of a damn good movie.

Severely underrated movie. I finally watched this last week and was blown away. Better than Hunt for Red October, K-19, and probably Das Boot although I know a lot of film nuts would consider that sacrilege. The score is so fuckin' good, too.
