Good to know there are some good affordable IEMs out there, evsn if I don't ever use them. By the way, Pinot noir is French. There actually was a real fight over here at an audio show, full fight in front of us visitors :) One of the hotheads was Mark Levinson, and the other fistfighter/wrestler, Roger Sperrling. Sperrling who was walking around in all boths but his own with a stethoscope listening to turntables for motor noise and bearing sounds shouting out loud everywhere that the others turntables were crap.. and "don't buy them" :D

According to some graphs they should have more bass than the original version, even without the 10 ohm adapter, maybe they offset the low freq with more high frequencies than the OG. Might be down to fit. As ever iems and fit are a nightmare.

Quite different than other IEM's, the Crinacle Reds pair well with any type of wine, but only if consumed in abundance. At which point, the spatial queues become sublime.

I can see what you’re saying tbh. Definitely use the narrow tips. Even then, they are slightly subdued, I find that it doesn’t actually impact details or separation all that much or really…at all. But I would like just that little extra bit of top end air and sizzle

He got kicked off because he created a video wherein he said the ASR members are idiots or something to that effect. I overrode objections from many people to bring him back and had pleaded with him to go slowly and not create fights. And just a few days later he created that video. That generated a ton of complaints about him so he was let go.

i don't like either of them, but having to ban someone because anything short of outright profanity is just stupid. agree to disagree..done. Doesn't matter who is wrong or right. its just audio. Just a hobby. Everything with music listening is subjective in the end of the day, and we are all consumers of it.

What you are calling frequency response is actually magnitude response. Frequency response must contain both magnitude and phase response.

Come on, did you really try them? I admit, you probably have better treble hearing abilities than I do with my 54 years, but the overall tonality (I use the 10 Ohm adapter) is really great, the fact that the 2-6kHz is below HarmanIE2019 pays off. So there is very little to complain (I just will get a better cable and have a nice Variations proxy, without the necessity of using EQ).
