Art is a skill of practice, as I'm sure you've been told. If you draw consistently for a couple years I'm sure your art will match or surpass her younger self's. (As a reference, I've been drawing since I was 17, and 20 now, and my art is around her 11/12 years old arts. When I was 17 it was like her 6 year old art. Practice is important!)
