In 9th grade I remember being taught that propaganda specifically refers to manipulation through false or misleading info. Now I've been around political organizations and seen that they often just call their literature propaganda. It's not a dirty word. Im a far left libertarian Socialist but I disagree with your statement. Art whether it's music or painting or whatever doesn't always reflect political ideology of the creator. It's not a way to judge art by simply checking the political ideology of the artist. There have been alot of good musicians for example Bach. He was conservative and Christian and worked for church but his works are significant when it comes to Western Classical. Leni Riefenstahl on the other hand was a Nazi director but she was actually a good director.
