Part of the problem they have here is that the movies used just about every older top-tier actor in the UK. Richard Harris, Brendan Gleeson, Maggie Smith, Gary Oldman, Ralph Finnes, Kenneth Branagh, Alan Rickman, Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Isaacs… the list goes on. Honestly, any cast they get for this new one is going to look like a community theater production starring your mom by comparison.

The age of the actor is pretty much done. Any good ones are at least over 40, closer to fifty. Our Last Action Star, Tom Cruise, is in his fifties, late fifties I believe. I'm not sure the training facilities or structure in Hollywood would allow actors to gain what our old actors had, whether that is because of DEI, lack of experience, unwillingness or genuine incompetence/stupidity. Unless something drastic happens, as drastic as what Elon did to Twitter, but worse. It's one of the first signs that Hollywood was deteriorating so now the best we have are Tiktok style actors or snooty brats.

It should have started with Rey being a Jedi like we saw in the first movie, but then Finn gets the lightsaber like in the scene he had, but actually had the force. They could have used the identity problem Rey had to turn her into the dark side, as throughout the movie she felt she finally had a place to lead as a Jedi, but then in the next movie, Finn is just better then herat training and is progressing faster and is a better leader ect, then this would make Rey jealous and getting a taste of the dark side. That right there would have been a great foundation. Finn should have been the Jedi and Rey should have been the new sith, who becomes so addicted to the dark side that Kylo even ends up siding with Finn. Something like this would have been so great, and was actually what I told my brother I was hoping for going into the new trilogy. But man, they did Finn so dirty. Can't have a black guy be the new MC of SW, because the chinese market wouldn't allow it... That would have been a perfect story, someone who was bright fell to the dark side, and someone who grew up in the empire ends up being the new "return of the Jedi". My imagination excited me far more then anything Disney SW has created.

Lets say that the sith really are gone for generations and thousands of years. Wouldnt everyone be confused if you brought them up? It would be like "Why is this guy talking about Julius Caesar? That was 3000 years ago is he dumb"

Kind of, but the Sith have had thousand year dormancies before (if they’re using parts of the old EU still). So it would be more like if Caesar had come back a few times, but it still had been quite some time since the last one. So it’s still a shock to the system every time they return, but it isn’t like telling people that something unprecedented is happening. And you have to remember that there are some longer lived species in Star Wars too.

54:00 yeah, nah. In VFX, if you're using a human as a placeholder, they'll be in a greenscreen suit or a mocap suit or something. Those people didn't even have tracking marks for the VFX artists to work with. They were in full (albeit shitty) costumes! They were either entirely removed in post or their scenes were re-shot to put those nightmare gnomes in.

I preferred The Huntsman: Winter War, but I liked Snow White and the Huntsman. It always seemed much more like St. Joan of Arc to me than it did like Snow White, however.

If I recall correctly, at least one telling of Snow White has her 'dying' with the apple lodged in her throat. When the dwarves carry her out for burial, they drop or bump the casket and the apple is dislodged and she wakes up.

I have a prediction for the new Star Wars trilogy. I predict that it's actually gonna change hands between 2-3 different directors, with no plan at all, who tell people their theories suck, only to subvert expectations in a tired and lazy way. They're going to call everyone who dislikes this movie a sexist, or racist, bigot. All while alienating their fan base, and dividing the ones who tried to stay committed. Now if only I had some kind of proof to back my case.... BUT WAIT!!!! IT ALREADY HAPPENED
