Oh yeah! I was on the edge of my seat when that second type of cheese came in @ 16:16 😂

More cheese is never the wrong move, and having that smoky flavour was so good ;)

You definitely did those burgers justice. I’m impressed by the crispy bacon. Great job on both burgers👍😊

I checked several stores but that was the only one I found like that, otherwise we might have gone thicker

I never met a burger that wasn't improved by a good pickle. Anything pickled, but of course cucumbers are the best. It's an essential piece of burger architecture!
@CriticalEatsJapan15 күн бұрын
It is definitely a part of that classic burger flavour👍

You guys always recreate so beautifully!!! 😍

Thanks so much! This time we didn't go too crazy with the recreations ;)

I would prefer the first burger because of the crispy bacon. I'm not really a fan of raw onion or smoked cheese but I liked the technique of the cutting and toasting of the halves to carmelize the cheese. Nice job guys!
@CriticalEatsJapan17 күн бұрын
Surprisingly the onion isn't very strong when it is sliced so thin like that. But yeah, the second toasting is definitely something I'll do again in the future👍

Those were some killer burgers you did a good job recreating them with your own spin . Great job this season

Awesome recreations & gourmet up of those burgers. I'm recreating both your burgers. On the Brisk Stand Garlic Kiriyatsu, instead of garlic salt I'll try granulated garlic, and unsalted butter.😎👍
@CriticalEatsJapan18 күн бұрын
Let me know what you think of that half-cut style... I'm sure I'll do it again sometime in the future.
@jovahsangel18 күн бұрын
@CriticalEatsJapan granulated garlic & unsalted butter reduced saltiness. Grilling the half cut added a little caramelization to the flavors, similar to "Wok Hei" in Chinese cooking. Also experimented with a lemon burger, with thin sliced & grilled lemons. Plus, similar to a beef dish in the Philippines--called Tapa -- when almost done grilling the hamburger patty, I added a little bit of Calamansi (Lime) juice or Lemon juice. The citrus acidity kind of brightens up the flavors of the burger.

Both the burgers looked equally tasty and the 2nd grilling on the second burger gave it a boost ... though the bacon on the first one makes it a winner too.
@CriticalEatsJapan18 күн бұрын
I think I will use that technique more in the future👍

A couple slices of Sweet pickle on Kiriyatsu burger would've been perfect to balance out the flavors of the burger. Otherwise both burgers looks great 👍
@CriticalEatsJapan18 күн бұрын
Yeah, we did have extra pickles but decided not to use them just to make the second one more different than the first.
