Thank you for catching up on so many elements of my grooves and playing on this one, like the ghost notes and cymbal orchestrations 😃 appreciate you dude! Really hope you enjoy the rest of the record. There is plenty of variation and motion in it. Was a fun one to write drums for

Dude you killed it on this! And I can't believe I forgot to bring up your diversity too; going from that hyper melodic style with the nuanced articulations to the driving rigidity in the metal sections. I'm glad to hear the album is varied too. I'm looking forward to that release later this year.

I think you would dig their first album. There's certainly some black metal elements but I don't recall a single blast beat on that one. Acoustic guitars all over the place, sorta reminiscent of stuff like Agalloch. I really enjoyed this track when i heard it the other day but haven't seen anyone else talking about it. As a massive fan of A Forest of Stars, I am all about big transitions from soft and folksy to wall of sound black metal passages haha.

I second this. The first album has some black metal screams on a few songs, but leans heavy on the folk elements and doesn't have the blast beats. I found it back in 2019 and loved the etherealness and atmosphere. If you were ever going to react to a song off that Lunar Falls album, I would recommend "Catacombs" That first album was a solo project, and she has since picked up a band for this upcoming album. It is currently my most anticipated release of the year :)

You might enjoy Sylvaine which is a "tamer" version of this, I recommend the song Abeyance

I liked the first album but this one’s shaping up to be even better. The addition of a full band is really taking Suldusk to new heights and fleshing out the sound. And if it's anything like their first album, you've nothing to fear :) -- there will be plenty of ethereal neo-folk to go around.

A lot heavier than her first album. The little black metal aspects of that album was more subdued, mixed into the song rather than specific sections. That was more of a solo work where it is actually a band now though

That black metal was popping in like someone was randomly lighting off fireworks indoors.

This was a very great find very good mix of bm and atmospheric metal.

She got a lot heavier. Her first album is basically a folk album with hints of black metal every once in awhile.

The album has just as much acoustic stuff as the other :)

Really dug this. Blackgaze with ethereal female vocals? Yes, please! The BM aspects are rather generic, but I think this includes enough other elements rhythmically, vocally, and atmospherically to keep me interested. Definitely keep them on my radar.

You've been doing this long enough to always expect black metal. Always.

Even if you were to check out Nickelbacks new song, expect back metal. We are always here, waiting...

@@MaaZeus I mean, Bryan actually picked this one

The album is fantastic. I loved the first one but this seems even more mature. Still tons of folk music in there and less black metal than this makes you think.

I can tolerate the temporary nature of the bm section. Nearly turned off, but glad i stayed ;)
