I don't mind the new look, but I have a soft spot for any version of the Javelin, as it was the first mech I ever headshot and salvaged in a MechWarrior game, MW2: Mercs. The wonderful memories of childhood. As for SRMs don't feel bad, my SRM tactic involves humping their leg... And I must say, as a Splat GRF-2N pilot, the SRM points are very nice on this, grouping is pretty solid, it should eat most other lights alive just because of that, and give a solid chance at back shots on heavier mechs.

Hah! snap I did the exact same thing and bought a Zeus with the salvage money. Next mission my Zeus got legged by savannah masters, managed to kill them with the head mounted laser, wiggled the 'mech to the extraction point and then couldn't repair it. Best short campaign for me on MW2 mercs

It's nice to see the new 'mechs running around. Just wish all 'mechs could be viable so we would see all the variety MWO has to offer.

Yeah. And mixed builds could work too... My favourite warhammer is kinda meh (basically lostech variant of regular warhammer. 2 ER PPC, 2 MPL, 2 SPL, 2 MG and one SRM6) because it gets outsniped by snipers and it lacks a bit of a punch close range. My competitive warhammer is a close range brawler with ML and SRM 4 spam. much more effective.

Hussein Bolt with SRMs :) It looks like an athelete runner. Thought the mech would be slightly smaller, but the legs are skinny, adding hight. This is not a bad thing though, those legs are super hard to hit.

I run the 10N with 4 SRM 4's and it is very nice you can fit 4 tons of ammo in there with JJ's and Heatsinks. The 10F i run with 1 LPL and 3 ML. I find the Javelin's hitboxes are very well balanced and can roll damage very well.

Always used commandos over the javelin. But they did a great job on the javelin. Sadly I will not be getting it. It is great to see some 3025 mechs still coming out.

i've seen it compared to the arctic cheetah, but nothing can be as broken as that

I wouldn't say it's anywhere close to it personally from my short go with it. Maybe the F variant has more potential for that but I agree, nothing could be as powerful as the cheetah in the light category.

yeah, I think they were referencing the overall shape and size. And the 6 sml pulse build.

I think that could be applied to the old firestarter small pulse builds as well really. I think people are always looking for a reason to compare 'mechs to existing ones to build a picture for comparison, which sadly means new 'mechs sometimes don't get the chance to shine on their own first.

it sucks because if new mechs really cant fit into the meta roles, it means they can sadly only shine in rare circumstances.

How about switching the srm 6 to 3xsrm 2 (on the 10p)? For the fast cooldown and better (presumably?) spread. At work so haven't got trying out my Javelins yet. It looks so much worse than the splat Jenner IIc though, hard to imagine I'd ever use it instead. Hoping I'm wrong though.

Well 1 was a definite kill steal. The other was better and I don't remember the third really. Javelin's are good though, lots of fun to run with.

How you like the new skill web? A yes/no answer is enough. Oh, I think you miss SRMs because you are so used to aiming with the arm-reticle, you are just not used to pure torso weapon mount chassis. Personally, I turn on torso lock when I don't have arm weapons.

I do like it's potential, however like most things with PGI, it needs refinement. I would have preferred a skill tree for each weight class instead to further emphasise their roles on the field rather than just blanket skills.
