Negative criticism, which is what we will be focusing on in this episode, is when we critique something and disapprove of it based on the faults or mistakes that we perceive in it. But we need feedback. Our growth and awareness is dependent on it. So it is best to think of feedback as belonging to two distinct camps. The first is criticism. The second is sharing your individual and honest perspective or experience. In this episode, Teal explains criticism in depth as well as why people criticize one another and then, she explains how to give feedback in a healthy way and also what to do in order to stop criticizing.
The collective consciousness of mankind has been evolving in it’s own right over the course of history. We have seen many dark ages and many awakenings. And today, we are in the middle of the Emotional Dark Age. Most people on earth do not understand emotions; they are not terribly conscious of them, they do not know what function they serve, they do not know what to do with them. This is a serious problem considering that emotions are the very basis of every person’s life experience. Part of this emotional ignorance is a thing called emotional neglect. It is so widespread that it is literally the great epidemic within society today. In this episode, Teal discusses emotional neglect as well as what to do if you have suffered from this epidemic yourself.

Thank you. My 4 year old decided she was tired of her name and wants to be called "Snowflake" - I have been telling her that her feelings are important and always right. I agreed to call her "Snowflake" because when I was her age I wanted to change my name and nobody took me seriously, and I knew how that felt. I wanted her to learn something from this...and I ended up learning something too. I was in a room full of ADULTS telling a 4 year old is NOT a real name. ADULTS trying to make a 4 year old validate THEIR reality and give up her's, saying, "That's just silly, it's not a real name" - but I used it as a lesson to teach her that they are just insecure and don't know how to ask her if they can just call her by her birth name instead because they won't remember, or whatever the deal was. Sometimes kids just want to play and have make believe but adults can be so rigid and criticize over the smallest things instead of just entertaining kids once and a while. But then they want kids to believe in Santa Clause at Christmas time... they want to control a child's make believe and belief

Wen my 5 year old found out he wasnt the only james on the planet he was shocked and disapointed... then he decided to drop the s.... there was a little confusion some thinking his name was jane..... but I called him JAME for a while and . then it just faded away..... i sometimes still do because we both belive it was valid to like your own name.

It's a perspective I guess. At home she can still be called Snowflake though, right? That's all that matters. She's your little snowflake, that should be enough for a 4 yr old. I think most families have nicknames or completely different names for each family member. We do too, but we say it amongst ourselves and we know who we mean and why we call them that name.

mike litoris Criticism is such a banal and mundane thing that happens everyday, it isn't that surprising at all. Even if you were criticized by your boss a month ago, you would just say, "Oh gee, I've been thinking about how my boss criticized me a while ago and now you have a video about it, synchronicity win!" It's like teal swan coming out with a video of taking a poop and people in the comments saying, "Gee, I just did that, teal and I are connected somehow." Derpaderpaderpaderpityderp.

Beloved child, I see the pain and the hurt that you carry within your heart. I see the tears that you have shed, and I am moved with compassion for you. I want to heal your broken heart and to bind up all your wounds. I want to restore the joy of your salvation and to give you a garment of praise, instead of a spirit of despair. I want to comfort you and bring you peace in the midst of your storms. I understand the struggles and the challenges that you face in this life. I know the temptations and the trials that you endure. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am your refuge and your strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. I want you to know that I have great plans for your life. I want to use you to touch the lives of others, to bring healing and hope to the brokenhearted, and to set the captives free. I want to use you to bring light into the darkness, and to be a beacon of hope to a lost and dying world. My child, I want you to know that My love for you is unconditional and unchanging. I want you to know that you are My beloved child, and that I delight in you. I want you to know that you are precious in My sight, and that you are more valuable to Me than the finest gold and the most precious jewels... I want you to know that I rejoice over you with singing. I want you to know that I am always with you, and that I will never leave you nor forsake you. I want you to know that I am your constant companion, and that I will guide you and direct your steps. I want you to know that I will give you the wisdom and the understanding that you need to navigate the challenges of this life. I want you to know that I am the God of all comfort, and that I will comfort you in all your troubles. I want you to know that I am the God who heals you, who binds up your wounds, and who sets you free from the bondage of sin and its consequences. I want you to know that I am the God who restores you when you have gone astray, and who brings you back into the fold of My love. I want you to know that I am the God who gives you the desires of your heart when they are in alignment with My will and My purposes. I want you to know that I am the God who blesses you abundantly, and that I am a God of more than enough. My child, I want you to trust in Me with all your heart, and to lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me, and I will make your paths straight. I will guide you with My eye, and I will lead you to the place I have prepared for you... I will never leave you nor forsake you. With all My love, God.

So true, choke hold and the law of attraction! evolving by the judgement... that i don't do, because i have not retaliated and know that one may need help to re-leave their pains...and...searching for acceptance, attention or love. All in all, maybe I was the only one that saw one spiraling downwards and offered my concern to one that may need to seek help elsewhere. My deliverance of retaliation will be in the way of the soft sandwich approach to a mass of people that had joined with the judgement and criticism approach in a public forum... Regardless...one should be powerful enough to keep love and not hate in your hearts based on criticism. GOOD ONE!...hit right on the nose.

I had a revelation on this few weeks ago with my criticism of a friend. Fortunately we are both very close. He was hosting a paid for healing workshop that I was participating in. What I realised was that I felt my needs were important and so I suggested that what was doing should consider the needs of 'other' and myself. Afterwards though, when I thought about it. I became guilty of pushing my own needs too much into the situation instead of trying to understand why those things were necessary for the event. Even though I still prefer to have my needs met, I can get deeper into why I want those and why they aren't provided for the event. So, it's important to share your opinion if it helps, especially if you feel you have a need. However most crucial is it to admit that it's a personal preference to both yourself and the receiver as this will free up any confusion and or negative feelings around the situation.

i used to call my inner critic 'abuser' ... i finally stood up to it. I first had to shut down its abusiveness, and i was merciless towards it. Not so much merciless i guess as a very firm No to it and a boundary of you will not abuse me. Now it's a lot more respectful haha. I like to take snippets of odd things it says and critically analyze them with it watching, very compassionately, like you would a child. i think that helps it to trust me.

I think since I've been surround with people who don't accept criticism, when I offer my perspective now I expect a push back. So sometimes I may start my critic in a harsh tone instead of giving compassion like I used to because they just won't consider it. Then I get upset when they don't hear it. But it leads nowhere. I guess it's not my fault if there's absolutely nothing I can do to make someone understand something if they're unwilling to listen. I understand that sometimes they have their own trauma. But sometimes it just feel like they don't want to have to care. They just want to hide the fact that they don't care so they get upset at you. I really don't understand this behavior. I'm really trying to understand it because it's very rare that when I'm given a criticism that I don't consider it, it's very hard for me to find exemples in my life when I did this so I can relate. It makes me feel discouraged that so many people are like that but I'm not, it's like I'm the only good person.

A family member asked my honest opinion about her situation with her husband, and i asked her if she was sure she wanted to hear it and she said she likes honesty, so i gave my opinion on how i can imagine her husband was feeling. A couple of months later she made a big life decision which she didnt really want and she got really nasty with me because she basically said i had made her feel like she had to do it after what i said. Its worked out for her in the end and shes ok with me now, but she was really nasty with me and ill never forget that. She hurt me. So from now on when someone asks me for my honest opinion i will be thinking twice before i do it.

Thank you Teal Swan for good content. If you Could lower the volume of the initial and finishing tunes, I should be grateful. The lodness in contrast to your thoughtful exposés work as shock on my nerves and soul, and when not listening close by the PC and volume switch, it gets stressful and horrible and destroys the listening experience and the fragile constructive mind state, which is not your intention, I know. Thanks again, I hope this will reach you well and makle you want to consider changing the volumes, or even omitting the tunes, which are not in tune with the quality of your content. With appreciation and congratulations on your own healing work.

But he criticised me roght out of emotional safety and quite frankly I don't think he realizes he actually doesn't even like me for who I am. His many criticisms taken as a whole make it clear I am not a good match for him. Needless to say I am no longer pursuing anything romantic with him, as the idea has become moot.

Opinions solicited. Lol. Why the need to share this information! Light, Teal. Nice work. Now, about the Employer, is it then necessary for people to freely choose to enter a body of reality [Work] that may not be designed essentially to meet their human needs? Can they be cajoled or interest-pressed into such an environment and how do they deal with except for saying ''no'' ''that is not what we are working for''. And what of when you need appraisal and do not receive it? Like when you want to know [by instinct and feel] the value of the work that you are doing, to yourself and to human [the latter also being the reason for ''intention'', intention towards man and intention towards your fellow men who are neighbours, be they at work or at school, for these places do not exist outside the reality of existence] Good work, for self and your fellow neighbours, Teal. Impressed about the straightening of ''jargon parables'' that were oft repeated, yet we had no time to consider; and Word being the very manifestation of out inner world and the one that we are now creating; the one that you are now creating. Shalam

So it is interesting- the number of times she mentions what the spiritualists say and how it cannot be true because SHE never met anyone so elevated. Does not mean it does not happen or it is not worth trying.

***** I thought it could either be a washing machine, or sound from that snow clip that is playing. I really couldn't stop trying to hear it 😓

Ok, What I have learn and achieved is that Judgement is really not useful. Consider doing critiquing or evaluation based on present and know universal laws and concrete evidence, Leave emotions and motivation out of it, only concrete evidence.
