By nature, a mascot is ridiculous. A grown person wearing a costume in which he or she has to look out of it’s mouth or chest just sounds silly. And god damn looks it too.
But no league has a crop of more bizarre looking people dressed as stuffed animals than the NHL, where some of their mascots look, well. Gritty.

I found out that the Los Angeles Kings mascot, Bailey, is named in memory of Garnet "Ace" Bailey. He was the team's director of pro-scouting until his death in the September 11th attacks.

Victor E. Green is a play on the Dallas Stars' main color, Victory Green, as well as (probably) Norman Green. I never really realized the resemblance with the Philly Fanatic until seeing your video, as I've only seen him/her from afar. Unfortunately, the Stars haven't seen much of the "Victor E." in the last few seasons. I'm just waiting for the inevitable choke job like Tree with the Pirates.
