While not outright scary to me. My childhood best friend and I played the Croc 2 demo on his dad's PC. But his dad's PC had no sound setup so the games atmosphere was just kinda creepy with nothing but the idling sounds of an old PC in the background.

Played this game on pc with my mom when I was 7, but could never get the controls down. Picked it up today on a ps1 emulator and we had fun remembering how hard it was. We hadn't even gotten past the first area. Glad to see other people remember this game fondly. Thanks for uploading.

My siblings and I had a ps1 but no memory card so when we died we had to restart the whole games. We also had absolutely no idea what to do or how video games worked. We never got out of the beach area, all the bad guys also terrified us. We just splashed around in the water, rang the gongs, and jumped on the trampoline all the time and it entertained us for hours. Took us a million tries to beat the boat race, never saw a boss, and rode the cave rails back and forth and back and forth!

I remember back in 2011 when I was 5 years old and my 16 yo brother showed me playing that game. I only sadly saw when he was playing only until the train. At the time in Lithuania it was quite rare to have a computer, but atleast we had the best internet in the world. The good old days.

I don't remember much of this game as I was so young. But I swear I remember fighting a big octopus or squid on the beach and you have to jump on wreckage to get to him and the other is a boat race I remember playing . I swear there was a short cut through a waterfall as well. Can anyone confirm this ?

That's absolutely true! The octopus is the first kind of boss level you encounter. And you can race in little boats against others and take a shortcut through the waterfall!

man... this game was way too complex for my 6yo brain to handle, but I do remember playing that boat race over and over, and skating on the train tracks in the virst village back and forth. That was about as far as I could get. I sort of understood Croc 1, but this one was a bit too much. So strange seeing how well I remember the first bit, and just how much of the game I've never experienced.

You know, when I was a kid I only ever played in the first world and never knew about the other worlds and levels. Then boat race and mining carts were so much fun. Later when I recorded this I saw many levels for the first time and realised what a hidden gem this was for its time.

I don't understand at 2:16 how to do the high jump. I bought the purple object for the double jump but when I jump and I hit the ground it does nothing or if it jumps it is not high enough to go up. How to do, please ?

I guess you have to get the timing right, press the double jump at the moment you hit the ground again.

Good Game: But the Music of the Early Levels is too Saccharine Compared With the More Grounded of the First Game, but Croc 1 is Very Repetitive While Croc 2 had a Flavour of Variety, Such Buying Item for Inacessible Spots or Beat Bosses With Clever/Mindsets of Puzzles, Speaking of World Design Croc 1 Don't have a Cultural inertia (The First Island Having the Theme of Viking and Celtics but don't Saw any of this,) (The Third Island is Themed With Spanish and Middle/Easter Culture but only The Music is the Noticeable, the Rest not Cleary,) (Baron Dante's Castle is a reference to the Carolingian Empire, but if you notice it only in some layers, the Rest takes from Other European Castles) Croc 2 However Shifting Between the Pier of the Sailors Village, The Cossack Village and the Aztec Tenochtitlan (or City Center) as Last World. so Croc 2 is More Fun than the First Game but Ruined by the Wrong Periodic Jump Pression of X Button Which Making The Game More Frustrating due for It's Inprecision than Other.
