I dont know about everyone else but im new to this all. So far i managed to do a couple of projects so i felt ready to do a basket next. To me the way she goes through this whole video makes it seem like its more for intermediate than beginners.

Can you tell me how you increase each row? Do you just continue the same pattern as the last row until it's large enough?

@@leannwoo to increase the base of your basket you follow the pattern increase each round. So pattern consists of 1 extra HDC between increase for each round so after 1 HDC in the next 3 stitches then increase your next round would be 1 HDC in the next 4 stitches then increase. And so on Hope this helps

This is a wonderful tutorial and a beautiful basket. You crochet beautifully. I’m a beginner and I just tried to make this, but I couldn’t make it my handles didn’t match up and I lost my end/start of the row somewhere along the way and my basket was uneven. I didn’t know how or where to put a stitch marker for my end/start of row and I think I missed the row you told us to go on with that has 2 hdc in the first stitch and then 4 hdc in the next 4 stitches. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. 😊👍🏻

I only just taught myself how to start a chain and then do a second row. I can follow this but if the stitches were shown in a much slower way that would be awesome. I have watched the same 5 seconds like 20 times to understand how that double crochet thing is. great video though!

I'm using Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn in this video. It's a bulky (5) weight yarn. You could also try Woolease Thick and Quick, you would just decrease the number of rounds to make up for it being thicker.

I like how you show the whole process and don’t go annoyingly fast like most crochet tutorials. When it’s a beginner video I think it’s much easier to follow like this. I clicked on your yarn link and it doesn’t look like the yarn you used. The ones you used are in a cake like shape. And these are in regular skeins. Is that my mistake? Also how do you finish this basket? I watched the whole video and the end just stops and shows the finished basket.
