My mom and I have been watching many of your videos to get into crocheting. Today I wanted to try something I haven't done yet, and looked up how to do this stitch. The first tutorial I went to made sense in theory, but I just couldn't make it work for me, so I came to you. Now I've got it. My mom says you're just magic, and I think she's right. The last time we tried to learn crocheting, years ago, Mom just barely got it and I didn't get it at all. But now, I'm finding it's much easier than knitting, which I'd picked up from Mom in middle school. Funny how that works sometimes, huh? Anyways, I really just wanted to say thank you for helping us get into crocheting :]

@@HookedbyRobin funny! I thought maybe they were the vintage HERO brand. I have clover too, but some don't slide the yarn as well as others, I noticed, for instance the smaller sizes are aluminium but as you get bigger, they're plastic. Right, good to know😊

Hi Robin if a pattern calls for a multiple of 3 then add 2. Would i do the chainless foundation for the multiple number then just add 2 chains or for all. Eg. Pattern states 21 then add 2. Hope that makes sense?
@HookedbyRobin4 жыл бұрын
It all depends if that +2 counts as a stitch in the overall pattern. If it is a turning chain that does not count, then you would only need to do the multiple of 3. If it DOES count as a stitch, then you would only need to do +1 on the chainless foundation. I hope I'm explaining it correctly! 😀

@HookedbyRobin5 жыл бұрын
You simply slip stitch to the top of your first fsc 👍 You may want to use your tail to stitch the very bottom chain sections together if there is a small gap :-)

When a pattern says chain 20 if you are doing this foundation chain do you just do 19 foundation chains?
@HookedbyRobin4 ай бұрын
I'd go by the pattern repeat multiple rather than the chains (if that makes sense!)
@heatherb9188 ай бұрын
I didn't think I was going to be able to do it at first. I could not see the v stitch that I was supposed to go through to begin until I re-watched the tutorial. If you are having trouble, pay attention to when she says "this one forms the chain". It's the one you drop before going through the last time. Keep an eye on it and you'll find it every time!
