Hey Robin, seen a couple of these FDC tutorials and you are the only one that explained the actual anatomy of the stitch! Now it makes sense why I’m doing what I’m doing. Thank you and keep it up

Third tutorial I've watched to figure this stitch out and this is the one detailed enough to help me. I was stuck on where exactly the previous stitch was to insert into, it's such a confusing mess right below the hook. Thanks for going slow and the big yarn :)

Hi Robin! Your FDC and Magic Ring tutorials were the ones that helped me. I couldn't do them until i watched yours. You're very helpful and easy to follow. Whenever i discuss crochet with anyone i recommend your videos to anyone. I even met a nurse i spoke with who struggled with MR and i recommended your video to her as she loved crochet but dreaded MR like i did. But your simple instructions make the dread a thing of the past. I hated FDC and FSC but now i can do them so easily. Thank you so much!

Robin you’ve taught me to crochet!! In October I used your video to make a granny square blanket. Now I’m working a garment and this is my 4th fdc video. I should have started with you. Great explanations!

Wow...you are an excellent teacher. I can't wait for more. I've gone back and watched most of your videos. Thank you so much for posting them. I'd love if you could show how you hold your yarn. I learned to feed the yarn over the pointer finger but I like the way you have it over the second finger which makes holding on to the piece so much easier.

A few people have asked me this! Lol I don't really hold my yarn at all, it just kind of hangs there 🤣 I might see if I can get my husband to help film how I hold it x

Loved the video on how to create the FDC - you explained it very well. However how do I continue on to completing my pattern? How do I get from the FDC to the rest of the pattern, even if the pattern is stating to chain and then whatever. Thank you!

Can you use this start and still work in the round, like for an infinity scarf?

Question, after you crochet your foundation double crochet, would you then chain two, turn and then begin regular double crochet? Love this tutorial by the way. It makes a nice sturdy foundation to a blanket.

Do you know how to start a new row on that foundation???
@HookedbyRobin Жыл бұрын
You could chain 2 (or 3 depending on what the pattern calls for) , turn your work and then work a double crochet stitch into the 2nd stitch along (the chains you make at the start count as a mock stitch) Then double crochet in every remaining stitch until the end then repeat all over again! Chain, turn, dc x

@brittanymoore50095 жыл бұрын
Can you do this for something that you have to slip stitch together like a hat?
@HookedbyRobin5 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely! You may need to leave a slightly longer tail at the start so you can sew the bottom gap together but other than that, you're good to go!
@cherylmcbride84973 жыл бұрын
When you say ‘go back to the single crochet you just did to start your next chain and dc, I don’t know which one that is lol. Easy way to know?
