I just watched the whole video because i fell in love with this pattern to make an Afghan. I wanted to be sure that I am able to do it before pressing checkout on purchasing my yarn for it. Unfortunately there were no video instructions on how to put this together to make an Afghan. I’ve searched for even a different video on how to put it all together and couldn’t find one. I have a hard time following the written instructions. Can you recommend a video with instructions? Thank you 😊
@LeahMarie.Williams3 жыл бұрын
I can't read crochet so this video was extremely helpful. I Googled attaching crochet squares and found a few suggestions. I really don't think I am able to follow the instructions for the border. If u look at the picture gallery there are lots of different variety borders. I found a pic that i liked and usung it as a base. #hanjancrochet on KZbin just posted how to do some simple borders but there's others too.

I made the block and it is too big. The pattern says double row ,single row , for 27 total rows. With what the video does it is all doubles and 27 rows is way to long. Wondering if this is an error. Or if Mikeys block is just les rows than the pattern or is there a typo in the pattern. Thanks for any clarification.

I've been following your videos for some time now and have recommended them (to newbies in particular). I did happen to notice that in your captioning at top of screen at beginning of this video had a challenge with the letter "s". Every s was invisible.
@deborahcohen40452 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your awesome videos!! Its so helpful that you have tricks like how to start the rows for dc and sc, because those are not in the pattern!!! Can I make a request? could you make an extra video on how to make a border? Also, for the TEXTURED SQUARE #2 BACK LOOPS square, on the pattern it looks like it says we should alternate between double crochet and single crochet rows, but your video only does double crochet, was that change made for the alternating colors to come out better?/or am I confused lol.

The pattern calls for 13 5 oz (256 yards) skeins of Red Heart Soft. So 13 skeins times 256 yards equals 3,328 yards.

It's by the inches... You do that so each one will match each other.
@margaretdombkoski54146 жыл бұрын
I am doing this afghan now. I am making the squares 10 inches. I had to adjust to a smaller hook to achieve this. I found that by using a 4.5 hook, that all the squares are approx 10 inches across. Then I keep measuring until I achieve 10 inches high - this has necessitated sometimes adding a final row of single crochet to make them uniform. It has been trial and error - had to frog out several squares:)
@naomiruiz51744 жыл бұрын

Hi Mikey, Is there or could please make a video that shows what hook size is complimentary to the yarn? For instance, Im working on a project that I need to use three strands of red heart super saver yet im struggling with two strands on an l or k hook. I' m sure part of it is getting used to multiple strands but, sometimes I wonder if its simply not complimentary for I'm using the wrong hook! I did adjust hook size (went 1 bigger) I tend to crochet a lil tighter..still not confident in compatibility. Therefore, I got to thinking..sure would be grand ig Mikey posted a reference video 8* }}
