This is a beautiful piece. I’m thinking the video instruction might be geared towards someone more “seasoned” than I am though.

Lovely pattern, but demonstrator is showing 3HDCtog rather than 3DCtog.

Ian Sharpes yea ... I kind of wondered that same thing. I wonder how it would look with 3DCtog?

It's also a little like a cluster.

Is the pattern actually 3DCTOG?
@MK-qg9ej6 жыл бұрын
@@brigittetanner9244 yes, in the written pattern it is 3DCtog

These comments, are old so perhaps this is irrelevant BUT - I noticed this too!! I'm new to Crochet, but I could tell the final product looked different than the one she's teaching. I found another video that teaches how to do the proper stitch, and I tried a sample and it looks much prettier in my opinion.. Here is the video that I found (however i'm sure there are tons of good ones!!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6jViYOLpNGapLM

I was taught the 3DCTOG totally different. This actually looks more like a puff stitch. Too confusing, I pass.

I usually don’t look a gifted horse in the mouth, but in this case I feel the need to do so. I’m not sure where this instructor came from but it would be nice if she would go back. 1. Goes way too fast to comprehend and follow on pattern. 2. I’m not a pro by no means but isn’t she doing a cluster of 3 instead of dc3tog? 3. She seems kind of salty. I know we are not supposed to judge since we have no clue on what is going on in her life. I’m sure if she was having problems they would rather her not demonstrate this pattern than to come across as someone that doesn’t care. I have seen several comments here where a crafter is not going to attempt this project because of the factors I spoke about. By us not doing this pattern, yarn will not be purchased, therefore it is causing a loss in revenue to the seller. 4. After all she put us through, she didn’t finish her demonstration. Definitely will pay attention in the future, if this lady is presenting the pattern, I’m going to kindly exit the building.

You skipped so much! I’m new to this, and that makes it very difficult.

She's doing it wrong I think... she keeps saying and doing "yarn over, insert your hook in the ring, pull up a loop. And then yarn over insert your hook in the ring, and pull up a loop" I think it should be done this way (for round two): chain 3 yarn over insert your hook in the ring grab the yarn and pull up a loop yarn over again and pull through two loops you'll have two loops left on the hook then do it again to make another dc THEN you yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook once you see three posts. I looked the picture closely and it looked much better than the ones she made. So I really think she did it wrong.

Definitely the crocheter is doing a puff stitch not 3 dctog
