This is my favorite technique to make this two color diagnonal granny square. It is nice and neat and looks less fraught with yarn carry overs because of the turnings. The only thing I’d say is..although I’ve been crocheting for awhile, dang..this guy talks fast! Definately not for beginners. I looked for someone who could do this slower, but had to come back to this one because it’s makes the nicest square.

You can slow me down by using your video player. I cannot get the speed right as I am either too fast or too slow. Just change your settings to change my speed.

I'd like to learn how u can get the two colours to swap sides every two or so rows. Do u have a tutorial to help me learn how to achieve this look please

Can you show how to make a solid color granny square with a second color making an X through the granny square? I've seen a photo but cannot figure out how the crocheter did it and how the second yarn color was carried. Thanks in advance if you do this.

Hello I was hoping you can tell me if you have a pattern for the four points crochet blanket in one continuous piece instead of four separate pieces?

Gracias pero me gustaria saber como guntar cuuando tienes mas cuadrados ( hay que coserlos ) Seria una eterna agradecida se me explicaras Te saludo desde Australia
@TheCrochetCrowd3 жыл бұрын
- I'm sorry, I don't understand you question. I don't understand what you mean by testing the squares. When you have multiple squares, you do have to sew them together. We have videos on attaching granny squares if you need it.

when we finish the round with the hdc can we go under the whole v or is there a reason we only go under 1 part of it

How can you modify this to a solid granny? I am not a fan of typical grannies. My toes get hung in the holes.

How would you join them together after finished with the squares?

Just a simple whip stitch using the same colour as the two colours that come together. We have videos on whip stitching and I use it most often in other tutorials as well.

Hi I love this tutorial but I'm a bit confused. At the beginning of the video you chain two when creating a corner but as you get further on you change it to a chain three. Is this supposed to happen or does it make a difference if you continue to chain two for your remaining rounds? Thank you :)
@Gwentheferret7 жыл бұрын
He says several times the first two rows are different. That's talking about the corners. The first two rows are chain 2 in the corners. The rest are chain 3 in the corners.

@topazpitt46198 жыл бұрын
+terry bailey - it's there, just not in BOLD like the rest of the round instructions. look about 1/2 way into "3rd rnd:" and you will see "4th rnd:"
