I don’t know whether it has something to do with where I’m at in the learning process or what…. But I feel I have learned and grasped more from just a few weeks of your videos than I had over the several years that I’ve picked the hobby up and put it down. And I’d certainly watched other youtubers in that time, but yours stand out. Your explanations, demonstrations, and approachable way of teaching these techniques have been extremely helpful. I had the exact same reaction that you did when they fit so perfectly!! Magic mittens! I was worried because I usually will make a first item and then become bored by the 2nd. Not with this quick, cute pattern. I love it!! I’ll definitely be making more sets. Now to try those INTERESTING socks.
Well done you! I made my ribbing longer, which your pattern easily allows! Another option is that I changed hook size for ribbing. Down a size to make it fit more closely. I also added a fine alpaca, lace weight, to ribbing only. That is a me thing...wrists get cold! Your lead on creating a Great mitten pattern opened up Possibilities!!

Those mittens are lovely! I'm still a novice crocheter but I found this pattern super easy to follow, and I'm in love with my new mittens🥰 The only place I almost stumbled a bit was the single crochet foundation row(?) for the first pointer finger. What helped me remember and visualize it was thinking of it as crocheting two rows at the same time, a chain stitch and a single crochet. That really made it easy to figure out where to insert the hook (the previous chain stitch).
