I have only just come across your work Robin and I am so happy . For a few years now I have wanted to learn crochet, my Mum was a fantastic knitter and taught me the basics of knitting despite her being left handed (any patterns she got she always converted them first) I loved watching her knit it was like magic. She could never get the hang of crochet though. A couple of friends said they would teach me but never got round to it. Your videos are so easy to understand and at a pace I can keep up with thank you so much for sharing your skills and talent.

you are so lucky your mum taught you some basics. mine is also left handed and refused to teach me growing up because she didn't know "how" even though i tried to explain that by watching her, she was the "right" way for me. didn't matter, she still refused. granted there's a lot of issues with my mum, but that's another story. i recently started learning how to crochet by watching youtube vids and began after a full day of watching beginner vids....made a doll sweater....wonky but still a good try for first attempt. i showed it to my mum and she couldn't be happy at all....compared me to my younger sister and about how it took them both months to learn and i learned in a day and did better than they did. i wasn't trying to one-up them at all, just share my first attempt. anyway, i love that there are videos like this, that make it simple and easy to learn, otherwise i never would have started learning.
