Crochet Rose Flower Bouquet Tutorial - How to Make a Bouquet of Roses for a Vase of Flowers
Flowers are wonderful, aren't they? Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. In this tutorial video, I show you how to make these beautiful crochet roses. These would look fantastic for a wedding bouquet. They would also look great in a vase for home decor.
For this sample I'm using about 30 yards of worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn. I'm also using a G 4 mm crochet hook. You can also use a G 4.25 mm hook. Feel free to adjust your hook or yarn size to your liking to make a larger or smaller flower.

I find that the same pattern and chain works with thinner yarn as well. You shouldn't have to alter the pattern. Only use a smaller crochet hook (of course) with the thinner yarn or thread.

Much depends upon how tightly you crochet and what size (thickness) of yarn you used.

What type of yarn is this? I used a worsted weighted and honestly I hate how it looks fuzzy. Yours looks so nice!

100% acrylic worsted weight yarn. If you don't like the fuzziness that is common with acrylic yarn, 100% cotton yarn (dishcloth kind) in worsted weight generally has almost no fuzziness.

What do you do when you reach the end of the dowel just hot glue it

I didn't, but you could if you want. I used matching yarn and a yarn needle to sew/hold the ending end as well as the whole thing together, shown at 04:25 in the video.

Oh I meant when you finish wrapping the dowel with floral tape sorry for not being more specific

The floral tape is quite sticky, especially when stretched, so it kind of holds itself together as long as you press the tape securely against the stem.
