Thank you for a very pretty tea cosy. I did get a bit fed up with all the stopping and starting with lots of ends to weave in though and wonder if there is an easier method with just open side seams that could be sewn up but allowing space for spout & handle. As always your videos are lovely and clear and easy to follow.

Lovely tutorial - great fun and very clear. I like your presentation style Bella Coco. Had the same problem as @SIOBHAN DELANEY (below) in the spout row - had to go back and do 8 instead of 7 clusters, so I ended up with 9 instead of 10 which would have made it skewiff! Looking good now. :-)
@butterflymo3 жыл бұрын
I am also having this issue on row 6 it's you say in the video that after 7 clusters in cluster 8 is when we begin to do the double clusters. So I have seven clusters and then the two doubles and then 10 on the other side you stated that it should have 9 on One and 8 on the other. What am I doing wrong?

I finished my cosy, but it looks awful on my brown Betty which is tall rather than round. The uneven puff count is really noticeable around the handle. Also the constant cutting and re-threading was cumbersome not only that but the many weaving of threads into the project was a huge turn off. That said, your tutorial was clear and easy to follow, great close ups of the hook to show how to do the stitches, and I loved the 'pause' labels to keep me from getting lost. Great video. I need a new teapot now.

So cute! Great tutorial! Is there some reason slip-stitching across areas to “start” new stitches in other places wouldn’t work? I’ve never seen the cut-yarn-restart method you’ve used, but it seems simple enough. I just hate weaving in ends 😉
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 It's just personal preference; I find that a lot of slip stitches creates a 'line' that can be noticeable. If you want to avoid having so many ends to weave in there's no reason why you can't use that method though.

@bellacococrochet4 жыл бұрын
To make this for a smaller teapot you would need to make less clusters so that it creates a smaller cosy. I can't say exactly how many as it will depend on the teapot you are using, so it may require a bit of trial and error 😊
