I love your tutorial because you explain every thing patiently and precisely. The VERY BEST THING about your tutorial is, unlike the other crochet tutorials, you have no annoying repetitious music in the background. Hallelujah!!!! Thank you. Loved this pattern and have subscribed!

You're very welcome! I know what you mean about the music - it's too much for my brain when I'm concentrating

Fantastic! A friend gave me yarn to make a tea cozy for small pot. All my tea pots are the size of yours. Thanks for solving my puzzle.

Is there a printed copy? I enjoyed the video, but do prefer to read a pattern

My son has asked me to knit an incredibly kitch teapot cover. So I’m going to add a lot more garish colors.

It looks fab in bright colours!

I too am glad you don't have the music background and your explanations are quite good for the most part. Since you say we can use the same color throughout it would have been helpful to demonstrate beginning a new row without starting a new color. I'm still not sure my solution is right and I am sure it is messy.

Thank you - I also don't like the music in the back ground. If I was to make one in a single colour, I would still fasten off as they way the pattern is worked, all the rows are worked with the right side facing. If you were to turn the rows to continue in the same colour, the row would face with the wrong side showing.

Do you love the paintbox? I’ve wanted to know about it!!! It’s so beautiful and I love your channel and the teapot cozy!!!

I really do love Paintbox yarn - I used it an awful lot as it’s such good value for a high quality yarn

I've been designing a cozy for my handmade pottery pot, and have yet to get a good fit. Do you have a formula for determining increases based on circumference? I'm about to add a draw string to an oversized cozy and call it good, but not what I want it to look like.
@CosyRosieCrochet Жыл бұрын
The easiest way is to create the top section of the cosy one round smaller that the top of the teapot. If you are using DK (size 3) weight yarn, each round adds an inch to the circumference. You could also try adjusting the number of stitches in the groups to keep the pattern but decrease the bulk. For example work 2dc rather than 3 in the last few rows of the sides. Hope that helps 🤞

If at the final row (16 ) it’s not quite big enough,should I do another few rows… it’s tall enough just not sure if it’s wide enough..my new teapot has not arrived yet so unfortunately cannot try it on..but the measurements are 27cm wide 19cm high..do I need to start again and perhaps do a few rows more before shaping for the spout and handle .?
@CosyRosieCrochet Жыл бұрын
It would recommend adding a round or 2 more before splitting for the handle and spout. Excited for your teapot to arrive 😊

@@CosyRosieCrochetit’s a vintage Brown Betty..with a stripe..I actually think the cosy will fit..but if not I will do as you recommend and do another round…will I then just follow your steps.? 🥴🥰

The link to the 3 different sizes is a 404 not found. Can you please write down the pattern for the smallest size teapot?
