it turned out so cute! i love the colours!! this is the most realistic crochet experience lol. you start something you think will be an easy project or a side project but then it consumes you’re entire life and you only do it until it’s done. you make something with or without a pattern and it is just slightly off so you practically start over and undo it. and what you originally planned to do goes out the window and you end up with something different but you end up liking it so much. i relate to all of that! crochet is a *fun* hobby 😂😅😅

I started a top down sweater a while back but haven't finished or worked on it in a while, but you've inspired me to get going on it again, and I think it will be super cute short sleeve!

I love your channel and will follow whatever new craft you undertake. I love the short sleeve sweater! So cute! I would like to recommend Tunisian crochet to your list of new crafts to try out. I tried it a few years ago and it’s a fun addition to my arsenal. Faster than knitting and creates such beautiful fabrics. Just a thought.

this is so funny, i’m almost finished with my first ever raglan sweater just so happened to follow the SAME tutorial, and using a caron cake for the first time! mine, though, are caron cotton cakes which are a cotton/acrylic blend that i’m really liking! i have the calico flowers colorway which is like a nice muted rainbow :-) i’ve also been amazed by how fast it’s worked up!

oh heck yes, i LOVE caron cakes !!!! i made my first blanket with caron cotton cakes, the calico flowers colorway. i love it so much. it's such a pretty pastel rainbow shade, and i am a simple man. i see rainbow but slightly pastel? i purchase. i ALSO made my first ever garment (loose-fitting granny square pullover) with the same yarn -- colorway seashell, iirc -- and i love it so much too!! they're a cotton/acrylic blend (40/60 i think?), and it is so frickin soft and smooth, i know exactly what you mean about how easily it glides on the hook!!!! i need to branch out into different blends of theirs, i was very curious about the one you tried and im glad to hear it's equally nice to work with!!! i LOVED all the colors you showed off !!! also: i have made a VERY similar mistake to one you did with this exact brand -- me: [using a 4 weight yarn but it's on the smaller side so i treat it like a size 3] the yarn: [works up larger than a size 3] me: [surprised pikachu]

This is such a cute idea! I have a favorite kind of caked cotton, I wonder if that would work for something like this (I don’t like wearing 100% polyester or acrylic). Also the cat struggle is so real. Mine is sitting on me know trying to eat my stitch marker!

This short sleeve shirt looks so good on you! I tried this yarn and it kept breaking on me so i hated it for months. Now after seeing your video, i want to try working with it again. My brain keeps picturing you in a pair of matching shorts that go just above your knees🤔👀

Awww…you’re welcome! The second I saw it I knew it was the yarn for you. I’ve made a sweater for myself out of the Caron Cloud cakes “Sandbar”, and one for my daughter out of the “kelp”. Both looked great! A couple of suggestions about the neck: do you go down a hook size to do the ribbing? If you don’t, that works great to cinch it in just enough. Alternately, it could be your pattern. I used crafted.by.cat ‘s crescendo sweater pattern and the neck fits nicely . I didn’t, obviously, use her striping pattern, but rather let the cloud cakes do its magic. The sweater looks and fits great and I know how soft it is! 🇨🇦

I used a carron cloud cake to make a small blanket last year 😅 so soft, never thought about making a sweater with it though. I don’t think I would, I prefer either smooth yarns or Briggs & Little wools

I recently was also possessed by a singular project and was banged out a 6 foot round blanket in 6 weeks despite having other projects and chores I wanted to do. The crochet does be like that.
