Montoya must be one of the most reused badguy names on Miami Vice. It's literally appeared in every season since the first season sometimes even used more than once in the same season played by different characters. Remember Montoya in the 2nd season finale Son's & Lovers holding the gun on Crockett and Tubbs in the opener. Couldn't find they find any original names. This show had a weird habit of reusing names for the bad guys Guzman being the other name that got used a lot.

Of course we're not supposed to think about all those hundreds of rifle rounds that passed right through that old trailer and hit all the buildings and people in the background.

Outrageous. Bad guys armed to the teeth and they can't hit jack squat. Not one target hit except Highsmith who stands there in the middle of the lot. Even Crockett who exposes himself while running isn't even winged. But the good guys bring every body down. Don't get me wrong: I LOVED Miami Vice and still do. But that scenario is ridiculous.

It's funny how when you're younger and you watch TV shows like MV you're not critical about the "gun play". You dont analyze the tactics. How Sonny and the Metro Dade police walk into a situation e.g. to rescue Tubbs. How there wasnt a sniper. How they walked right towards gunfire square. Not keeping behind cover. Or using cover. Moves that would get people killed. Be like walking into a firing squad. :) yet Sony doesn't even get razed nor the guys around him.
@tommissouri48712 жыл бұрын
When he goes in close to Tubbs, he is just randomly firing in all directions. He would have done better to stay with the rifle and just keep putting a round through the trailer everywhere he thought someone was standing. When you see a barrel out the window firing, you can pretty well gauge where to shoot.
@InconspicuousChap Жыл бұрын
Use the rifle to kill a few most active shooters right through the walls? Nah, that's too easy. Dance with the inaccurate and weak pistol under heavy fire - that's how mr Mann figures out the job of a policeman.

I hated living in mobile homes in the 70's and 80's. Besides the lack of storm protection, there was zero ballistic protection. You probably could have fired a .25 automatic into one side and it would have exited the other side unless it hit a piece of hard furniture or something.
