Enel is literally lightning speed at nearly all times. Luffy was just a natural counter that Enel had never witnessed and it shook him (and his mantra suffered, since Obs. Haki requires a calm mind to use effectively). Enel's base speed is leagues higher than anyone in his own arc, and was only not dodging after taking shots from a perfect counter. He basically teleports across the island constantly, where as the closest Croco feat is him blocking Mihawks strike in a split second In terms of raw ability, Enel crushes Crocodile. In terms of displayed Haki, if we take crocodile having Arm. Haki, then he has the chance to defend himself or land actual attacks, and Enel's observation haki has some of largest range in the entire series and potentially future sight. Without Haki, crocodile is getting glassed, and even with it, itd be super lucky if he is able to even touch Enel

Keep in mind, Enel is reliant on his Devil Fruit, and while he is a capable user, he hasn't been pushed to train. Crocodile has time in the New World, has gained a lot more experience with his devil fruit, and unlike Enel, has solid physical stats. During Alabasta Crocodile's in my opinion is a stronger devil fruit user, and has stronger physical stats. And during Impel Down/Marine Ford, his feats speak for themself.

Mostly agreed. The golden rifle speed cap for Enel has always been a bad argument though. In the panels, Enel is clearly using a defensive stance, crossing his tridents in front of his body as if to block the Golden Rifle. He had no intention of dodging it. This is about the same as saying Kaido's speed is Capped to Bajrang Gun, or Doffy's speed is capped to King Kong Gun.. Think of Golden Rifle as King's Deep imperial pride. Zoro mentions the attack was "Too fast to block".. ironically, Zoro had the exact same defensive stance Enel had when they attempted to block Golden Rifle and Deep Imperial Pride, weapons crossed in front of their bodies..

I don’t agree with that being a defensive stance. Enel said and intended on skewering Luffy meaning he wanted to stab him like he did moments before this but the Golden Rifle was just too fast and strong that he got slammed. Even if you disagree with that interpretation it doesn’t change the scale because Luffy still managed to kick Enel in the face in that same chapter so Enel would be at best relative to that Luffy’s speed.

@@zagessj it was most definitely defensive, we even have a panel of Enel thinking before the attack even landed. I'm not sure I've heard of an evasive or offensive stance that involves crossing your weapons in front of you while standing vertically rather than diagonally.. Luffy kicked Enel for one main reason. Because he allowed Luffy to kick him. Notice the panel directly after getting kicked in 298, Enel had a glib smirk that was SFX'd. He then says "got you at last" suggesting this was his plan. We also know that Enel set this play up, considering he converted to fighting with a heated trident much earlier in the fight when lightning was rendered useless (280)..save for something like a Raigou that would've vaporized Luffy had it not been for the gold. So why does he throw a lightning attack that late in their fight when he already established it didn't work? Especially when the last Lightning based attack he threw at Luffy was in 279 before he knew Luffy was immune? Because the follow-up to that lightning attack was a Trident stab. Also, we've seen Enel zap across the sky island instantly, and speed blitz observation haki users throughout the arc.. Suggesting he's incapable of dodging Golden Rifle is very inconsistent with his performance. As, he could've literally zapped behind Luffy while he was charging up Golden Rifle and stabbed him lol. He probably just wanted to win a bout of power due to his God complex and ego

Where is this panel of Enel thinking that you’re referring to? All Enel said was that he’ll skewer Luffy unlike his previous attempt there is no inner monologue. I understand why you thought that was a defensive stance but Enel vocalising offensive intent is enough to say that he planned to attack but he couldn’t get it off bc of the speed of the Golden Rifle. There’s also no point in commenting on the speed of the Golden Rifle if he just planned on standing there the entire time. As for the idea that Enel could’ve blitzed Luffy the entire time is just wrong. Enel was fighting from on top of the Maxim and Luffy was in mid air so there was no reason for him to come of a more advantageous position. Enel taking advantage of Luffy’s “blind spot” so to speak doesn’t mean that Enel allowed Luffy to hit him. This is just a blatant non-sequitur. This is the same Enel that trapped Luffy in the Golden Ball to prevent him from beating him up but you’re saying he deliberately took the attack head on lol. There’s also no reason for Enel to exclaim after he done the lightning blast if this was a premeditated moved. Even if I grant you all of this the fact Luffy could still react to Enel and catch the trident before it fully pierced him still gives Luffy some relatively to Enel in speed and that gap that was present in their first round was no longer there.

As I explained in the vid Marineford Croco is several tiers faster than Enel so even if you think the lightning would work it, it wouldn’t touch Croco. Also natural counters aren’t as effective if there’s a massive difference in power or durability.

Wasn't Crocodile shown causing slight lightning sparks through his strong sand attacks without them turning into glass (A natural phenomena that occurs in nature as well during sandstorms) Crocodile's own sand had withstood Akainu's magma without melting or turning into glass (The same magma that's stated to be superior to Ace's fire and have the highest firepower among all devil fruits) Crocodile was shown to travel and move faster than people like Marco during Marineford. Enel would find it hard to strike Crocodile in the first place, let alone turn him into glass.

Enel doesn’t glass Croc since he couldn’t melt Luffy. However the electrical resistance of rubber vs air vs sand is like: rubber >>>>> air >>>>>>>>>>>>>dry sand >>>>dry human skin >> wet human skin. Since Enel’s lightning can move through air you can argue that his basic attacks hurt Croc. If that’s the case Alabasta Croc doesn’t really stand much of a chance. If hakiless Croc can hurt Enel (I’ll assume he can since if a bit of water works for Croc a bit of sand should work for Enel) then Marineford Croc and perhaps Impel Down Croc speed blitzes and destroys Enel. Current Croc turns Enel into his butler. One could argue also that since while Enels lighting can be conducted through Croc’s body, since logia’s don’t have organs it doesn’t really matter so Alabasta Croc could maybe take it if he can overcome Enel’s speed. However at a certain point the buck has to stop somewhere with magic pirates so Enel probably just damages Croc and wins.

i think croc has haki observation at least given that he uses it in tandem with his powers he might have weak armament but because haki is invisible and he never delt blunt damage to luffy we just wont know for sure but even if he could touch enel enel is just to fast strong and a better type match up the only thing im confident given croc is he can take more of a beating
