@Rodger Hodgson But these aren't properly american alligators, this are saltwater crocs. The ones in the videos are not small, but some become huge, and the big ones are smart and know who to keep out of sight. This people never knows when some saltie of the size of Brutus, Lolong or Dominator is watching. I'd rather swim in a pool full of big alligators than in a huge lake with a single big saltie...

Yes it is. He walked to the other side of the crossing at low tide to chat with a mate. The tide started rising and he decided to walk back across the crossing to where his son was but slipped and was washed into the river. He swam to the bank and grabbed onto roots, his son and others rushed over to help. A large croc approached the croc literally decapitated him. Rumor has it he threw a beer stubby at the croc when it approached. I grew up in Jabiru. Beautiful but unforgiving part of Aus.

Makes sense on the surface of it.. But, Cahills is about three days haul from any significant township.. Secondly, it only really gets bad during the monsoon season also known as the "run off" - which is only about 3 mths out of the year.. The massive expense of building a bridge literally out in the middle of nowhere that will only be a necessity for a few months use isn't worth it.. These fucking idiots shouldn't be crossing at high/incoming tides...(which can be up to 8metres in shift) Its common knowledge that if you fuck up - you're on your own!

+mau art. LOL! When I was living in Africa I was driving on a muddy road trying to drive up a hill and it was raining hard and the tires were just spinning and the car was going nowhere. So I asked my passengers to get out and help push the car. One guy didn't want to get wet outside, so he stayed inside the car and sat on the back seat of the car and pushed against the front seat with all of his might! Another time I was driving a pickup and saw an African walking down the road with a massive load in his arms. So I said for him to hop in the back of my pickup and I'd give him a ride. As I was driving I looked in the rear view mirror at him and he was sitting in the back of the pickup still holding his massive load. I stopped and asked him why he didn't set the load down and why did he still have it in his arms as he was riding in the back of the pickup. He said that he wanted to help the pickup and didn't want to make more weight for the pickup to carry. ???!
