Thank you so much for this video, third time trying to achieve proper silver using lacquer. The process you showed solved my problems, now it looks great.

Hi Sir could you do me a favor please you could make a video on how to spray clear coat because I try the method you were teaching and I had perfect results when I finish 👍💪💯

We have a video already produced for applying clear in 1.5 coats. Please see: - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaO8mGxmmcqNftk

Do you lower the air pressure on the control / effect coat? How much additional distance do you give for the second effect coat? Thanks for your video and any response.
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
Hi David, the air pressre is not adjusted in this case and is left at 2.0bar. The distance is increased to approximately 25 - 30cm.

Hi to anyone using Cromax pro,if I could ask regards to tacking,do you tack before clear on a full painted panel,and a blend panel?thanks in advance to any answers👍🏻
@CromaxEMEA6 жыл бұрын
Great question Tim👆 We always use blue Sontara “low tack” cloths, and if you have a fully wet surface like in the video there is no need to tack normally. If it’s a blend job and you haven’t used blender, then we’d recommend to tack it as there is always going to be some overspray. We look forward to reading other user's answers 👀

I only tack before clear coating if I have had to do any corrections after initial flash off. This way I can.get.the dry spray off from the re repair.

Great video! What gun is this painter using is it a Sata HVLP? Also what tip size is recommended for the base?
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is a Sata RP 1.2. It looks a little different as it's a special edition gun known as a Phaser. It's not HVLP. Normally 1.2 is our default set up for basecoat with Sata RP guns.

Holy smokes! What’s the amount of material used here? Iwata used 50% less guaranteed
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
The amount of material used is quite small and is insignificant when compared to the cost of having to rework the job because of mottling.

Cant use Iwata with this new wet on wet stuff. Iwata is good for that old powdery base coat but this new stuff it just doesn't work.
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
@@brainwashingdetergent4128 Apologies for disagreeing but you can use Iwata for Cromax Pro, it's a question of selecting the right set up and using the correct inlet pressure.
@brainwashingdetergent41283 жыл бұрын
@@CromaxEMEA no my apologies i was unaware the cromax pro was the water base ive sprayed cromax pro with Iwata and it did great. However some of the new solvent systems that spray similar to water i dont recommend an Iwata these systems include Cromax Mosaic and the newer Cromax XP. I cannot spray metalics with an Iwata using these systems. The chromax metalux is great with iwata its perfect really but unfortunately ive had to spend $800 on the DV1 basecoat variant to effortlessly spray the metalics with Mosaic and XP as the Iwata just isnt good on these systems when doing high metalics. I would love to hear your thoughts on that subject im always trying to learn more and be better thanks.

Thanks for your reply. However the other basecoat qualities you mention are not available in EU so I cannotadvise. Please contact your local support to better advise on set up choices.

Hi,i have ask about clear coat 2k vhs ,why we dont need put thinner in. I aasking me self ,how can the clear coat fluinng without thinner. thanku Alaattin
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
The important thing to consider is the RFU viscosity. These products are designed to be mixed without thinner, simply combining the clear with the appropraite activator brings you to the right RFU viscosity. The othet factor to consider is that you use an activator suitable for the size type of job whilst considering your climate conditions.

Is this technic unique only to cromax pro or can it work for other paint systems?
@CromaxEMEA3 жыл бұрын
This technique works with basecoats which are designed to be applied wet on wet.

Is this only for metallic or all colours

Can copper be epoxy coated?
@CromaxEMEA2 жыл бұрын
Hi, an epoxy primer surfacer is not suitable for copper unfortunately. The best system for this substrate would be a 2K Wash Primer + a 2K Surfacer.
