Finally some helpful videos on how to apply cromax!!!!👌👌👏👏👏
@mrmuskey52025 жыл бұрын
Nice Job. well explained. I like to apply my base coat in the same manner, although I use the 2nd control coat only on spray sensitive colours or high met hoods. Most cases it's not necessary as chroma base controls mottle better than others, I do like to apply my 2nd control coat across the grain and a great distance slowly as if I’m dropping the colour on gently. It works very well, even on the most difficult colours.

I haven't watched the full video yet but did you make the base with blender in it as well?
@CromaxEMEA Жыл бұрын
Hi, no, there was no blender added to the basecoat. The blender is sprayed first and used as a wet bed into which you blend the colour.

Excellent work. Is there a product replacement or similar product to HC2300 clearcoat. I believe that was the Chroma code It was a great clear for blends that didn’t require clearing the entire panel. It’s been illegal for decades here in Calif but what an amazing product.

Do you scotch bright the blend panels mate, nice work
@CromaxEMEA Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the question and positive comments. I actually prefer to use a foam backed abrasive such as Audurra Fine Finishing Discs, Mirka Abralon or 3M Hookit Flexible Abrasive Foam disc as they give a more consistent cut and uniform finish. On modern OEM clears scotchbrite can sometmes lead to deeper scratches which are still visible after application of the refinish clear.

What air pressure are you spraying at definitely some nice blending
@CromaxEMEA6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kenny!! Initially I lowered the pressure to 1.6bar on the rear fender to keep the blend as small as possible. Once completed I adjusted back to 2.0bar for blending the front door and completing the application.

what base gun you use?🙂
@CromaxEMEA5 жыл бұрын
In this case we used a SATA Phaser (limited edition) 1,2 nozzle 2,0 bar inlet pressure. You can find the Spray gun recommendations on our TDS's or even on the website of the Spray gun suppliers.

Thanks for watching our videos. I guess you comment refers to the basecoat appearance in the semi wet condition, which started already to flash off at this point. As you can see after flash off the basecoat looks very uniform acroos the complete side of the car and in particular, where the blends have been carried out.
