I don’t think it’s any more difficult to shed a tear for 50,000 dead Palestinians than it is to be upset over the loss of 6 Israeli hostages. I’m capable of both. I’d like to believe most people are. Also, in PA, I'd rather republicans stay home than vote for Harris. We have a Senate race that's key to holding the Senate, not to mention he's a carpet bagging Connecticut billionaire POS only running to give him and his buddies tax breaks and all the House seats in PA. Most republicans I know that are willing to vote for Harris/Walz will most definitely vote red down ticket to counter act it and I'd really like to not have my representative be a election denying, racist, sexist, bigoted magat anymore!!

Wow, I like Doug Emhoff. I've never really heard him in an interview that's longer than a soundbite. I think he will make a great 1st Gentleman and bring another perspective to the role of spouse to the president. He has picked good issues to get involved with. Yea, I came away liking Doug a great deal, down to earth guy, and a good sense of humor, too. 😊

You guys did a SUPERB job with this interview!!!! Very informative, fun, and entertaining! Getting to know Doug more is nice and he apparently is a very genuinely good guy I feel Kamala is fortunate to have him! And of course, Doug is so lucky to be with her!

Tommy just straight up asking a gnarly foreign policy question to the spouse of the candidate is a bold move. Doug did great in his response.
@JillianReeves2 ай бұрын
Right? Would he have asked a female spouse? I feel like its a bit odd. This first male gentlemen is going to be interesting. I think he's going to have to learn to be even more careful than this in the future. He should be very careful commenting on anything at all regarding foreign policy which as a LA male lawyer might be difficult. I think saying,... It's a tragedy and we need peace should be it.

I get the reaction to the question, but I think it was also necessary. I don’t think it’s right to talk about the tragedy of what’s happening in Gaza without at least trying move the needle on pushing things toward a better place. Likewise it was appropriate for Doug to parry it away and for them not to press him on it

Also very culturally insensitive and out of touch. As Doug said, he’s a Jew and he was there to mourn.

I think it was a fair question by Tommy and an expected response from Doug

A genocide is going on, children dying, people living in fear everyday and having their loved ones killed for no good reason, he can handle a little questioning about it. Especially considering his connection to a prospective president.

I love the kind of secure, healthy masculinity displayed in this campaign. It’s beautiful to see the president, the running mate, the husband supporting Kamala Harris, and it’s wonderful to hear them speak of their spouses and children with such love and admiration without any qualifiers.

I'm a UK citizen, and didn't really know anything about Doug Emhoff before I saw his speech at the DNC. I very much enjoyed his speech, and he came across as a really decent guy, with no airs and graces, or false sides. I have seen a couple of other interviews with him, and it is so good to see how much he supports his wife in her very important role as the future President of the USA, who will surely save America from the Dreaded Curse of the Trump (who was bad enough the first time around, and the world doesn't need another 4 years of him running his country). [Btw: in the UK we use the word "trump" as an alternative to using the word "fart" - says it all, really!!]
