@@InverseAgonist as a young person living in America we are not disengaged we are cynical and we don't believe that either party is doing their best for this country or even their second best for this country if we're being honest. But it's because we are engaged that we are cynical. Overwhelmingly young people mobilize in this country protesting and fighting to get our rights back. Young people are not disengaged, young people believe that we can do better and we should do better and this two-party system is bs. Yes many people are disengaged but to just blanket statement young people as the ones who are disengaged is inaccurate. Political engagement comes in more forms than just voting and yes more young people should be voting however it's not a disengagement issue in the slightest.

7:18 Regarding the accent... "Initially I thought the accent was strange as it didn’t sound Russian but then I saw an interview with the real Anna and she had almost the same accent. A weird German, Russian and Valley girl hybrid. Those complaining that Julia Garner doesn’t sound Russian really need to see the real Anna’s interview." And she _was_ good in Ozark. 😛

Counterpoint: brain eating amoebas only live in freshwater, and they have to get shot straight up your nose, which typically is a result of waterskiing, tubing, etc. Lakes are terrifying.
@Lina_unchained2 жыл бұрын
They're also just kind of "blech". As you walk into the water at a Lake it's about a 50/50 shot that you'll feel a gross, thick, mud sucking you down...and you never know until it's too late. At least with oceans I know what I am getting for the most part. Lakes are also equal opportunity when it comes to the sheer variety of organisms that want to be inside you without your permission. They don't just have brain eating organisms they also have organisms that can give you gut worms or skin infections etc and it just seems like way too much risk for not enough reward.

@@Lina_unchained When I heard the real Anna speak, I thought she was clearly _trying_ to sound like what she thought a rich person would sound like. Chiming in late b/c I only just discovered the national treasure that is Jonathan Lovett, so now I’m catching up on back issues: As much as I enjoyed Peggy’s entirely justifiable rant - and Deb Haaland’s *amazing* moccasins, not to mention *that dress* - I honestly think the *best possible* rebuttal by the Lt. Governor to ‘Bahb’ from Fridley (sp?) would have been simply to stand up and do a twirl. Show, don’t tell - b/c that is NOT how a Lt. Governor dresses, it is how a QUEEN dresses. All hail Her Majesty Queen Peggy of the Myriad Lakes! P.S. for Ashley: Don’t demean the Lt. Governor by comparing her to Lea Michele. I’m very selective about music and musicals, and Lea Michele does *not* make the cut. Try Ariana deBose next time. Or Rita Moreno.

Julia Garner was her name. You missed the point...it was a deliberate mash-up of accents which closely replicated the character "Anna" who fabricated her own accent/s, German, French, English and Russian. That's the Emmy. That's the skill. Secondly the script was a good look at how female journalists are treated and how ironically in polite society how attractive women can con their way. Delvy had vision without education or experience. That too is a part of the story. Go back to your laundry. Your vapid review is lost. Next time at least remember the name of whomever you're ranting.
