My Dad was addicted to Rush Limbaugh. My Dad thought he was a political journalist! He wouldn't believe me when I told him Limbaugh was a shock jock and admittedin an interview that he would never take a job in politics because he wouldn't make the money he makes being a radio host. Yes. Limbaugh wrote books but he was NOT a journalist.

Of course he was in it for the money. When I first saw his TV show, while visiting from Germany, I thought it was a parody, like the Colbert Report (which didn't yet exist). He would say something outrageous and give a little grin, so I was suprised to find out that the audience took him seriously! I've wondered since if he was like the radio host in Mother Night - becoming what he was pretending to be.

I'm really torn with my vote this time. Fox News has been so awful, my brother watches it all the time and says their the only thing that got him through the grief of his wife's death. BUT, it was Rush Limbaugh on the radio that started it all. I heard him years ago while driving with my brother (just after I moved back from Canada) and heard his diatribes against the Canadian Health Care System. Since I lived with it for 20 years, I knew he was lying, so don't trust anything else he says. So, I've got to go with Rush Limbaugh - he sent two of my brothers over the cliff!
