Oh yeah, definitely an improvement after cleaning that barrel. I have always noticed a big improvement after scrubbing new barrels( bronze brush, bore polish, ballistol). You've got an awesome set up and I enjoy your videos alot. Check out Midway right now if you need some pellets. They have H&N Terminator, Silver point, and baracuda hunter extreme on sale (the first two are like $5.00). Also Fieldsupply has good prices on H&N and also Apolo, which are made in Argentina and i find them to be of good quality and good value. You might as well, and they ship for free with $25 orders.

I’ve ordered from Midway on occasion before in the past but they don’t do free shipping to Alaska unfortunately. Right now I’m inclined to keep testing with the Crosman Premiers since I have a ton of them. I’ve also got bronze brushes but have never used a bore polish. I just looked it up to see what they did. It’s been pretty fun learning about all these airgun barrel cleaning products.

I agree stick with the same pellets for like at least 50 shots. Secondly try to get yourself a nonmetal cleaning kit and clean your air rifles barrel side down.. Air gun barrels are not tempered like firearm rifle barrel. . Metal cleaning rods will scratch and cause damage to your Barrel. The Hops cleaning solution will damage your O-rings in your transfer port and on your pellet probe. Get ballast all or another airgun cleaner. I hope this helps you.

I saw the little pop up saying “wondering if the mag deforms the pellets” now that is a valid concern. I have one of these guns also but not the mag so I don’t have any experience with that. I wouldn’t think the mag would deform them because there isn’t spring tension or anything, but maybe the pellets catch on the transfer port hole after being loaded from the mag? Or it could all just be coincidence.
@airgunsofalaska Жыл бұрын
The mag will allow for deformed pellets as they can bind against one another during feeding and just by the manner in which they drop into the chamber. I’ve found the faster and more forcefully you work the bolt, the more likely a pellet will become deformed. Overall I like the magazine, it just has its quirks. The Benjamin rotary mags for my Marauders also had quirks and I deformed some pellets in those.

What kind of scope mount is that? Did you havw to install a steel breach for that mount?
@airgunsofalaska Жыл бұрын
It came with the Hammers scope I’d ordered off Amazon. I have a steel breech as the stock breech doesn’t have a scope mount.

I know, the 362 seems kinda weird. I’m not certain why the groups vary so much? It’s interesting to read people’s ideas and see others experiences with the gun. I think I’m going to clean the barrel again but this time use a bronze brush just to make sure the lands are cleaned out.
@yoitired2 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska I'm not sure either. I'm no engineer but it seems to me the bore would have the most to do with it. I mean it's a very long tube for the pellet to go down, by the time it gets to the end it probably doesn't matter much how it was pushed at the start. Hopefully a good scrubbing will prove to be the answer!
@airgunsofalaska2 жыл бұрын
@@yoitired I did just that last night. Remove the barrel/breech assembly from the gun (again) and ran a bronze brush through it a few times and then more patches. With Thanksgiving break coming up I should be able to test it out again outside at the same distances and see if things improved. It makes sense that they would. If not maybe I’ll swap back to the stock barrel and see how that does.

I know some people say not to clean your barrel. But from my experience with multi-pump rifles, it's very important to keep the barrel very clean, and make sure there isn't too much oil in the gun. The less oil the better. I end up getting very tight groups this way, and then clean the barrel after every 100 shots or so. Seems to work great for keeping the groups tight. Of course you must use good pellets too, cheap inconsistently shaped or sized pellets will never be accurate no matter what you do.

@@gwhitfield4239 thanks! It’s good to see the 362 improving to hopefully get it where I want. I think it’d really be cool to have a relatively inexpensive pumper equipped with a couple similarly inexpensive mods produce the same accuracy at longer ranges as more expensive German break barrel and U.S.A. made PCP guns.
