This looks good! I was a little apprehensive in my thoughts when it was said Aldis Hodge would be playing Alex Cross. That not a diss to him because I think he's a great actor. It was just the thought of someone other than Morgan Freeman playing him because like Tyler Perry's attempt at it, it didn't work. . But the trailer showed me that it could work and I am surprised the views aren't higher because it looks like a must see.

No, I think in this version of Alex Cross they are picking up the serious after the conclusion of Along Came A Spider. This makes sense, as that was young Alex Cross 'signature' case and instead of rehashing the book that was already a movie they're jumping forward while acknowledging it. It's similar to what Prime did with Jack Ryan & Reacher and their previous movies/books why try to recapture what was already done.

Please balance, the dark tone of drama with light tone of Alex's grandmother & kids including his relationships. What I enjoy about the novels so much is the breath of fresh air Alex get when he steps away from all the drama. This isn't the "WIRE" or "Luther". It can draw upon both formula but it also needs warmth. I'm rooting for you, Cross!
