I randomly thought of this today, and I remembered this actually teaching me to cross step like a decade ago when I was in high school. Lol this is still a legendary video. You still get the gold medal this many years later.🥇

0:15 - 0:20 I paused the video in disbelief. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, then opened them and realized this was not a dream. I instantly subscribed, liked, shared and added this video to favorites. This is how you make a video.

I had that problem too. Your doing it right, just keep at it and take it nice and slow when your doing it. Your going to plant one foot, freeze up, and then maybe fall off or something. eventually youll be able to do it really slow, then youll get better and better till its fluid. and dont worry about the carve the reason they talk about it is because when you scoot your foot over to the side its easier to cross over, and that makes it carve, so they encourage it. Just keep at it and youll getit

thanx for the tips, kurtzinator. breakin' the tail loose carving, yeah, but not sliding. i'll try those wheels after these get shredded. it's amazing how similar a longboard skate can ride to a surfboard - say a single fin tanker or loose egg. so stoked to get my board groove on without having to drive an hour to santa cruz to bob around with punks! or drive forever up to tahoe to freeze.

I think the hardest part is the actual "cross step" on the heelside of the board... Im on the front of the board where it wants to slide front or back, and the leg is crossed ready for a face plant lol. Still trying to learn, thanks for the vid.

agreed (with the first response) start sloooow, and you gotta take small steps, or you will be eatin pavement. get the feel of walkin around on the board, then work in the carves.

2 different shoes, short shorts, a pink shirt, shaggy hair, and a mustache that connects to your sideburns. Those are the essentials to being a badass and getting the elderly ladies
