That was a fun ride mate, nice and relaxed yet still adventurey. As always it was great to catch up. I loved the contrast between our first ride through there throwing up dust and this most recent one with no dust to be found. It was a shame that our time was limited, but it was still an awesome morning out on the bike and great to see it clearing for the ride home. 😁😁

It was a lot of fun mate. Short and sweet, but better than nothing, one of the best ways to cheer up a wet weekend 😁

Yep. Even down here the heat and humidity has been exceptional. Nice (but soggy) ride.

Great video you've had a lot of rain there! We've had serious prolonged rain here too . Soon as it gets a bit better I'm mad to try out the 500x on a longer trip .Alan Northern Ireland. 👍

Did the exact same ride a few weeks back. Surprising to see how quickly the road is deteriorating all ready. I see you also found the big pot hole at the end of one of the causeways. 😅 The water was up even higher when I did my ride. It’s a very pretty ride with just enough challenges to make it interesting. 👍🏼

Yikes! I thought we had a lot of rain during our 'summer' ... not that you could call it much of a summer, 🙁 what with an 'extended' fork seal repair, and the weather, I didn't get to ride after July!! 🙁 🤞hoping for a better year this year. Trust the trip is going well. RSM8

Yeah, it's weird, we didn't think this was a lot of rain... the massive flood 2 years ago changed everything! For example, that bridge we stopped on was 30 feet underwater back then!! Trip is done and dusted, and was really good, cheers mate!

@@CaptainCrankyMotovlogger Yes, when I typed it, I was wondering if you were already back home. Proper PITA when you arrange something with a mate you don't get to see very often any more, and it's chucking down with rain. Don't get me wrong when you are riding it, you can still enjoy the beauty of the scenery and surrondings. It can even add 'atmosphere'. It just doesn't 'come across' as anything other than 'miserable' in my videos to my mind. YMMV

@@paullee6663 I had a couple of miserable days like that on the trip actually, 2 wet camp pack ups too - but that was OK out of 12 days :)

@@CaptainCrankyMotovlogger It must be far worse if you are camping. Full disclosure, I generally hate the rain, on the bike or not. I hate ''getting wet' which is an odd thing to say as I did SCUBA diving for 10 years... 🤔 Lets face it, if you are in the UK on a bike, you're going to get wet. My first 'all day' rain experience was leaving my B&B in Llandudno heading back to the West Mids...it was that 'fine rain' where it doesn't seem much, but you're getting soaked. It takes me a while to load the bike as I have managed to thread my 'throwovers' under the seat for better security and 'balance'. then they have to be secured with bungee's. It was going to be a long 3 hours ride in my mind. Then once I was out of the towns and into the countryside, and I recognised how stunning it was in the mountains....I relaxed......only then can you start to enjoy the ride. Never even started any cameras.

hi, I'm assuming you went along Manns Rd, then Main Arm? or was there more to it? Keen to get out there again soon, and a few new tracks would be a bonus.

No, nothing more to it mate, thats pretty much the only way through from Uki to Main Arm - there used to be a few more tracks but all closed now, sadly.

@@jesusstuntdouble Can you get through on that to Reserve Creek Road? On Google Maps, it looks like it's blocked by a gate, so it would be a U-turn, coming back out the same way you went in?
