Today we are crossing the Azerbaijan Georgia border taking a bus from Sheki to Lagodheki.
Did you know you can cross the border from Azerbaijan to Georgia?
It's a beautiful drive from Sheki to Georgia (see our video for how to get a bus from Baku to Sheki) and its easy to do the journey by Marshrutka.

When the busker was singing we wondered if he was Georgian as its interesting hearing the difference in the formation of vocal sounds as you travel e.g less throat 'gh' like Moroccan Darija and Arabic to more 'ch' sounds like Russia. Helloz there! Planning to do a solo Azerbaijan/Georgia/Armenia trip over two weeks. Will start from Baku where I will be flying to. Can u suggest a brief overall itinerary over two weeks? Plan to do Baku-Ganja/Sheki-Signahi-Tbilisi-Kazbegi-Batumi-Mestia(hiking) and then a short 1-2 days in Armenia/Yerevan

Did you investigate possibility of border crossing near Shikhly village, closer to Tbilisi? I'm planning a trip and would like to cross border there, but it's so hard to find any information about transport in this area...

Hi we crossed the border in June 2023 from Azerbaijan to Georgia. But it is only open one-way to cross - you cannot enter Azerbaijan this way.

Also officially the land border between Georgia and Azerbaijan is closed, could you please tell me did you have any issues when you went through it? Or did you have to pay some “compliments” to the border guys?😂
