Welcome to Canada, Hopefully you have a wonderful trip. As Canadians we have crossed the border back and forth from your beautiful country to ours many times. It really is simple if you follow a couple of basic guidelines. Roll your windows down when approaching, Remove your sunglasses if you are wearing them. Have your passports/paperwork ready. There are thousands of possible questions you may be asked, some are simple and some may surprise you. I was once asked if I played hockey. No idea what the agent was trying to find out with that question, but that is fine as I just answered 'Yes I still do", and that was it. They want to determine if you are honest with them. Just answer them truthfully, and if you don't know or are unsure of the answer then just say so. Also the driver should be the only one to speak, unless a passenger in the car is asked a question directly, and then only that passenger should answer. Don't be answering over each other and don't be more than one answering a question. Even if you are totally honest with them, you may still get an inspection. If you do, then no big deal, just show them what they want to see. If you are honest and not hiding anything, you will shortly be on your way in which ever direction you are heading to enjoy your travels.... As always safe travels, and enjoy BC......

Thank you so much. Excellent tips here! We’ve found it much harder getting back into the US than we do getting into Canada. We really give it our full effort to get it just right because we would be crushed if we ever couldn’t come visit Canada but we somehow find ourselves flustered occasionally. We laugh (not during the border crossing) because sometimes our very honest answers sound absolutely ridiculous when we hear ourselves say them. 🤣🤣

Roosville- but also yes, the videos are several weeks behind our travel because we are really focused on the locations and fun as we go. Our timing was incredibly fortunate and we are just heartbroken over the fires. 💔

🤣🤣🤣 Not sure why we are always surprised! We try very hard to get it right and they are always really lovely to us. We probably stress because we would be devastated to be kicked out or not allowed to return!

We’ve been incredibly fortunate this summer with our timing. These videos are several weeks behind our location because we spend more time adventuring than we do making the videos. We did have a few days that we were smoked in but that was a blessing considering how bad things got 😢

Hehehe I have a window sticker on my truck, Combat Veteran. I spent 5+ min. about guns. I started giving his answers as, no or yes. He said I was being evasive. So I said for the 3rd time, I HAVE NO FIREARMS in the truck or the RV. HEHE I was trying so hard to not get mad. He keep asking in different ways about do you have any weapons, NO. He finely let us pass and no searches.

When you are doing the right thing - the process does feel quite hilarious!! They’ve never been anything but nice to us but we’ve gotten flustered by questions more than once for sure!

This would have been filmed quite some time back, to see blooming canola in Washington state, not sure when they would seed Canola but would no doubt be well before we do. Honestly I am unclear about all the details of the bear spray rules also as I would have to look up on the official government sites but what I have read is that they as in the Canadian Customs have a BIG issue with small sized containers of pepper spray that you can conceal as if you possess it and don't declare it and they find it, its BAD NEWS as one can be criminally charged. Yet the large container of bear spray ( says on the container its not meant for humans ) seems ok going north anyway. By now you may have found out if its ok going south unless your still up here enjoying the probable climate change cartel started fires ....

Small canisters are prohibited. Possession is a criminal offence. Large canisters, intended for animal control are legal. But do not use one against a person.

@@richardsmith5380 And as to the reason in Canada of it being illegal to bring it across, its because its illegal for a Canadian to possess mace period ( for personal protection against other humans deeming you harm ) as well as any sort of fire arm, even a knife really for that matter. Oh but the criminals are quite ok using firearms, knives etc and yes our police using mace on us the citizens of course ....

@@lifebetweentheditches1307 I know, who would think in the states that because a small can of mace and personal protection shock devices and switch blades are legal, that ALL those items are illegal in Canada. On another note as per the bear spray, were you informed by park rangers how to tell black bear crap from grizzly when out hiking in the wilderness ?.
