Save yourself some heartache and buy a low mileage running fb25 if you decide to ride this roller coaster lol

Hmmm I'd say if you're doing more than 8 valves and want to rough in the valves then probably. Though you need to pay attention to what's going on and I always finished the valve by hand to really get it to where I wanted. Maybe I'm just being too careful, but better safe than sorry. Also don't run the drill at top speed or you'll burn out the internals. (As some amazon reviews show) but it can definitely help speed up the process, make it easier to keep suction, and ease hand cramping haha

Something to think about..... fuel from the injectors will come in contact with the RTV plugs in those runners not sure how long that will hold up? Maybe JB weld would be better as it is fuel resistant

That’s what I was thinking. I know some rtv is fuel resistant, but at least if it gets sucked in I don’t think rtv wouldn’t do too much damage. 🤔

nobody makes a TGV delete for the FB20? thats one of the first mods I did on my WRX

What all do you have to do wiring wise cause I have my fb20 in my impreza now. And it’s throwing codes

I'll just say that I am not an expert here, but I'll share what I've seen in my experience... Did your Impreza come with the FB20? I thought they just came with the FB25. But the main differences I know about wiring between the two motors is that like every FB25 doesn't have VVT on the exhaust cams, so no actuators or position sensors on the exhaust cams. And then I think the MAF sensor is different and you have to scale things in tuning differently for it. And depending on the years, TGV's operate slightly differently. but that's probably if you've just switched between stand along TGVs and integrated ones (i.e. 2014 forester intake, vs 2017 legacy ones) Oh also FB25 injectors I think flow a little more than FB20 ones. I think everything else is the same (famous last words)

Its not a good idea to "delete" these tgv flaps on the na 2.0 or 2.5.. You will loose most of your low end and gain nothing on top end and will not be able to tune it to make up for it.
