You didn't really turn that on its side to drain the moisture out of the tank did you, tilted to drain moisture is not to drain the moisture. It's the tilted back so you can loosen the valve on the bottom of the tank and then you stand upright and drain the moisture out

Oversized wheels/tires is hard on the drivetrain. With modern low tension piston rings they jam up easy from carbon build up, to solve this use Valvoline Restore & Protect.

it's a real cheap compressor...the metal that looks like Aluminum is not it's real soft ZINC...China..back in the 50's when it;s made in America they would of used Machinery steel...Of course the cost would be more.yet last 100% longer... then china using the cheapest materials....The best would be machined stainless steel parts.. High dollar stuff...yet look at it this way pay more for quality and not breaking down..then buying new cheap compressor every 6-10 months.

What caused the bend? Valve to valve collision or piston to valve? Did the chain jump?

Just rebuilt my son's fb25 and after I had them service I went from going What's Valve lash (2 months later) I now have become an expert using a trim removal tool to remove and add shims on a mounted cam carrier. Also after mixing and matching the rockers and shims I had I only needed 2 to be in spec. :)

wow just did my first FB25 rebuild. HG blown. Machine shop said make sure to check the valve lash since I was not having them do that for me. I knew nothing about valve lash. Lol it only took me a month to learn measure and mix and match my rockers and shims on all 16 valves. At the end I only needed 2. I ordered 4 though so I had the "right" size and the "maybe this one" size. Thanks for the FB 25 info since there is not nearly as much about them as the EJ and FAs.

The mask can be trimmed to fit glasses. Heat gun the trim n gently peel away. Trim mesh Then re heat trim to stick back on again = perfect fit 👍👍

Why did you go with the 2.0 cams?

I gotta ask. Was the cheap compressor worth all the work, buying parts and mostly the pain in the a...? In some cases theres no shame in buying a new good quality compressor that will handle your needs safely! Im just saying. Good video

Hey there, nearly a year later how are things going? Have you gotten the CELs to go away with tuning? I have a '14 crosstrek I've been fixing up and am considering swapping out the short block to a 2.5 and rebuilding but I'll want to make sure I can still pass emissions when all is said and done.

Money-reasons were the same for me in buying a second hand CSL DD GT Pro kit though mine was not broken, just second hand. I knew I would have to modify several parts for the project it was to be put in, and I would not feel comfortable modifying completely new kit, next to being unable to afford that. I personally very much like people repairing stuff. It gives you such a good feeling when you manage to fix something. Currently trying to fix my first SSFF computer (Lenovo M720q Tiny motherboard that just suddenly died on me from 1 day to the other).

I ran across this video as part of my quest to fix the infamous missed shift problem that impacts many users. My shifter does not have the pigtail that connects the ground test point to the screw that holds the board down. Yours does. Is this the missed shift "fix" that Fanatec does or was this a DIY attempt? Does anyone know if this addresses the problem? I also noticed you moved to from the test point to the connector pad...maybe you have some knowledge of this "fix".

With it being a top side oil filter. Press and hold the gas pedal while you turn the key, it'll prime the engine with oil without starting the car and you can get a more accurate level reading.

I have the same fridge and mine cools just fine and is pretty quiet for a fridge but it is leaking water and water is forming in the bottom I do have damage to the seals debating if it’s worth fixing. Let me know what you think thanks and great video!

Does anyone understand wheel offset cause I’m so confused. The stock wheels are 7” wide with 55mm offset - so shouldn’t any 7” wheel require 55mm offset to maintain normal handling? In that case, are 8” 42mm offset wheels gonna ride basically the same as stock but maybe a tiny bit slower handling due to extra width and maybe running wider or higher aspect ratio tires with the wider rims? 7.5” should be like 48mm right?

Dude. I'm getting ready to swap my oil-guzzling 2012 XV (crosstrek)'s FB20 with an FB25, and I'm reading and watching as much as I can beforehand to just cram the knowledge in. Even though this has been excruciating for you to to this point, I want you to know how much I appreciate you posting the process. I've been learning a lot.

Its not a good idea to "delete" these tgv flaps on the na 2.0 or 2.5.. You will loose most of your low end and gain nothing on top end and will not be able to tune it to make up for it.
