Before submitting ur wish for ur research or prototype to be marketed to a company you need to have it, theres few tragic stories where ppl spoke before having a patent and the big company stole the creators prototype.

How to do a prototype in a project work

If you have sketches and dimensions, you could easily hire a design or CAD engineer on sites like Fiverr, Freelancer, etc. They can make the CAD drawing. Then you can use that to hire someone locally to 3D print it (Cheap) or make a full prototype (Can get very expensive). Or instead of the prototype, you can stick the 3D CAD model into a single page "Sell sheet". Then that is what you shop to companies, investors or potential customers.

You don't have an innovation. You got a sketch and dimensions. Pay some money get a quick 2 day x 8 hrs to learn cad. Now you got a 3d concept drawing. Viewed like this now you can see "if it's an innovation that might work".

I have this idea of a food processor both for home and industrial processing. I don't know which is a better idea to pursue. Is it more beneficial for me to make the portable home processor so it can be used at every home, or make the industrial one so I sell the processed material to every home?

Commercial = High margins, low volume. Easier branding and customer service. Customer lists are easier to gather. Residential = Low margins, high volume. Branding is way more important, customer service needs to be more technical, but less of it. Hard to obtain customer lists, hence relying on branding more.

Make a prototype for both. Pursue the one that "works better". Don't worry about saving the world.

Painted picture →3d cad & 2d shop drawing with dimensions→mfg process Mfg process? a.) 3d printed molds for polyurethane poured in at room temperature b.) 3d printed vacuum forming or composite(fiberglass, carbon fiber, even cotton fabric) layed up and coated with polyester resin. c.) CNC machined molds for plastic injection molding process. Hope you got minimum $10,000 Get it drawing first by an experienced competent mech engr. He will tell you where the part design/geometry/material is headed and the mfg process needed. Cost? A few $$$.
