Been a Crowded House fan for many years. Saw them live a few times in Toronto as their North America breakthrough came here first. Singer/leader Neil Finn is a incredible rare talent, a giant above the throng really. They have a bevy of hit tunes each of which stands tall on it's own. One small venue show I recall was hotter than the hubs of Hades but they backed off not one bit. Can you hear my respect? These guys were top shelf all the way. If you have not seen their farewell concert in Sydney do yourself a favor. Rich. Rich. Rich.

I was a big fan of Split Enz, Neil Finn's previous band. When they broke up, Crowded House rose from the ashes. I've been a fan since day one. Neil is a fantastic songwriter.

Crowded House was one of my favourites and I agree with others, that this song will Always be relevant. Neil Fynn hails from New Zealand, our brothers and sisters from across the sea, but other members are from Australia. There has always been fun banter between us as to where the hail from, but we are all winners for it that they formed and produced such great music. Neil's previous band was Split Ends with his Brother. Also 🔥 Have a Great day

I’m a New Zealander, so very proud of CH, & always loved this song. One of the best New Zealand groups & this song just never gets old. I agree about the organ. The group Procul Harem had an organ & their songs are so great.

The organ part reminds me of Procol Harum who always used piano and organ together when nobody else did. Check out PH's live version of A Whiter Shade of Pale in Denmark. You won't be disappointed.

Oh yeah! In the case of Procol Harum they use a Hammond organ, which gives that characteristic sound. RIP Gary Brooker.

Chod, when it comes to the sound created by (particularly) the Hammond B3/Leslie Cab organ setup, the word you were searching for was atmosphere. Synths and all manor of keys, (Farfisia, Clavinet….) are all intentional for creation of a vibe, but the Hammond, now that’s special. 🤘😎 Enjoy the channel

During an interview, Neil has said that one of favorite covers is from Arianna Grande. My favorite cover was sung on the show Glee. This song just provokes a warm fuzzy feeling in me. I grew up in the 70's and 80's,maybe it's a nostalgia thing for me.

A wildly underrated band. Neil Finn is a human treasure. This song might sound familar becasue it is used all the time in movies to evoke the feeling of the 80s. In the 80s becasue it is a great song, and it just became tradition to put this in a soundtrack to scream EIGHTIES! I have no problem at all with this. I have loved this song since the first time I heard it and said, "Whoa, man. That's cool. Let's do another bong hit," back when it was new.

I agree 100% about the organ. I took lessons on the Hammond for 5-6 years. I've always wanted a nice B-3 type wit Leslie speaker. When I heard Deep Purple And Procol Harum with the organ it made me love the organ sound!

Absolutely one of my favorite bands of the late 80s and the 90s. Saw them live in Tilburg during their tour for their Woodface album ( 91 or so ). Their 2010 album, Intriguer, is just as good as their first 4 albums, IMO.

Been a Neil Finn fan since his days with Split Enz. "Six Months In a Linky Boat" and "Iris" are great songs from Split Enz. Also check out his and his brother Tim's material Finn Brothers. Neil Finn had a concert with some of his friends 7 Worlds Collide and the concert footage.

Great reaction guys, I would recommend you watch the live video of this from their final concert outside the Sydney Opera House. The awesome reaction of their huge fan base saying goodbye to the band was heart breaking to watch. Sadly not long after they performed those concerts the drummer passed away. They are back now touring again as the fans made it very clear we love them and wanted them back again. Ty New Zealand for sharing your awesome band. The era of the Hammond B3 organ, long over :( What you miss out here :( is the Leslie speaker. I loved those. The B3 organ players sometimes, had a speaker that was inside a box, it was a horn speaker. It spun in a circle. You could watch it. It doesn't sound like a big deal but I loved them. Maybe because I'm a visual artist. Anyway, the speed of the Leslie would change, faster, slower, the organist controlled it. They changed the sound of the organ. Oh, so cool...

If you do Weather With You, don't do the official video - it's horrible. The song is rearranged to make the record company happy ( original is verse verse chorus chorus, video guess verses chorus verse chorus, doesn't sound right). Try the Neil Finn & Friends version from 7 Worlds Collide. Killer, with all star band, featuring members of The Smiths, Radiohead, Split Enz (brother Tim) and John Mellencamp's band.
