This band is literally all I've ever needed in a band. It's weird how much I love their overall sound: interchanging vocals, breakdowns, and instrumental tuning (etc.). It gets me so freaking pumped that I want to (quote from a guy I spoke to at a BMTH concert) "bang my head so hard that the third vertebrae down my spine pops out of place and then crack it back in place and continue to head bang."

I miss this. This album was perfect. I don't care about softer or harder music. But what I do care about is passion, feeling, work ethic, diversity. This album had all of that. There was so much passion and feeling in all of these songs. It didn't sound like it was thrown together and rushed. And there isn't another band that sounds like this. There will never be another Crown The Empire. As a Singer/Songwriter myself, the lyrics are beautiful in every song. Retrograde, there's none of that. I don't feel anything towards the songs. Hoping for another change in Crown The Empire. Hoping it's just an identity crisis and they get it fixed.

Nøt Jøsh Dun I 100% agree with you, and I've been listening to Retrograde more and more lately, and my opinion has changed. My problem isn't the lyrics anymore, it's the music behind it. The way it's recorded. When I watch them live, I feel everything that they say, but with all the layers over Andy's and Dave's voices in the recordings, I can't feel it. The songs sound so much better live. The way they've recorded the songs, I can't hear their raw sound, and I don't put that on Crown The Empire, I put that on Rise Records. I apologize for posting a comment that sounded ignorant, I should've done some more research, gave the album more of a chance. Thanks though ^_^

I don't know why but this video is the best I've seen. So much energy in it that it makes me want to jump in the video and start moshing and crowd surfing and shit. Crown the empire is slowly started to replace my favorite band and yeah. Holy Shit bruh.

I love their recent stuff too. I don't know if Andy writes the melody, but their song writing is always spot on. But this album is something else. The song writing, production, performance, concept planning, mixing/mastering, and all the branding related to this album were flawless in my opinion. I can see how they were trying to create The Black Parade's 2010's version in their own genre / style. To me this album is severely underrated. Love what they are headed now as well. Sad to see members leave, but I truly hope they last as long as possible. We lost too many good bands from 2000s and 2010s.
